Hooray for Mark Kelly and for each and every one of you who took the oath and always uphold it! I am so proud of everyone who does, and I admired that visible character in my now deceased family members and friends, too!
Thank you Jack, as a proud daughter of a Navy Chief Petty Officer, my dad, who honored his Oath, served 3 wars (Korean, WWII and Vietnam) with honor and integrity for our freedoms in the Constitution, passed away 1989, mainly due to cancer. I too took an Oath to the Constitution at home. I continue to pray, that’s what I do, for all of us, everyday.
You're welcome, Joan. Your father lived the kind of service that built the spine of this country...three wars...three eras...one unbroken commitment to the Constitution.
That kind of integrity doesn’t disappear when a man passes...it echoes forward through the people who witnessed it.
And the fact that you took the oath in your own home...tells me everything about the household he shaped...honor wasn’t a slogan...it was the operating system.
Your prayers aren’t small. In times like these...they’re fuel. They keep the moral field clear. They keep the standard upright. And they remind the rest of us...that the guardians of the oath aren’t limited to uniforms...they’re in the families who carried the weight...right alongside them.
I can remember back in 2004, when then senator John Kelly was running for president. He he was attacked by the Republicans just like this crap they're pulling on Senator Mark Kelly(no relation to John). I'm glad you broke down this story for us today,Jack, I'm telling you, there's absolutely No Bottom to this Regime‼️ Thank you and will reStack ASAP 🙏
You’re exactly right, Karen...we’ve seen this play before.
When someone with credibility...service...and a spine steps forward...the same machine that can’t match that integrity tries to tear it down. They did it to John Kerry in 2004...and they’re running the same tired blueprint on Mark Kelly now.
The difference is...this time people are seeing the pattern in real time. The bottom keeps dropping...because there is no bottom...just whatever they think they can get away with next.
I appreciate you catching the breakdown today. The more people understand the structure underneath these attacks...the harder it becomes for this regime to run the same play without resistance.
Thank you for the reStack...it matters more than people think!
I’m so proud of my Representative (they aren’t all Senators, Jack), Chrissy Houlahan, for her bravery at being one of the Six to speak up for the Constitution. I pray for her safety. There’s already been a bomb threat to one of her offices.
It takes guts to stand up for the Constitution in a moment when doing so makes you a target...not a celebrity. Chrissy Houlahan didn’t just sign her name to a statement...she stepped into the line of fire...knowing exactly what the cost could be.
And yes, the threats are real.
That’s the price people pay when they choose principle over personal safety. But here’s the part worth holding onto...when someone like her steps up...it stiffens the spine of the entire institution.
It tells every oath-keeper...every veteran...every public servant exactly what the standard still looks like.
Your prayers matter. Your pride matters. And her courage didn’t land in a vacuum...iit landed where it needed to...with the people who still understand what the Constitution is worth.
Keeping all 6 of these brave souls in my prayers for strength and safety. Michigan’s Elissa Slotkin is one of the group. A proud moment for me to see this video with her cadre of esteemed heroes.
You’re right to keep them in your prayers, Kristin. When six members of Congress step forward like that...calm...clear...and grounded in the Constitution...they’re not performing. They’re carrying risk. And every one of them knows it.
Elissa Slotkin...has been in pressure cookers most politicians couldn’t survive. CIA...Pentagon...frontline national-security work...she understands the stakes down to the bone.
Seeing her shoulder-to-shoulder with the others wasn’t just symbolic. It was a signal...people with real experience...real integrity...and real skin in the game are refusing to look away.
Your pride is earned. Your prayers...are warranted. And their courage...didn’t echo in a vacuum...millions felt the shift. When leaders step up like this...it restores the standard for everyone watching.
Army veteran here. Donald Trump hates us and calls us "suckers and losers." He told Don Jr. that he'd disown him if he joined the military. All of us need to stand up to this traitor and his pathetic regime made up of unqualified sycophantic idiots.
YOU...have earned the right to speak plainly about what service means...and what betrayal feels like. You bet your ass you have!
Veterans don’t deal in fantasy...they deal in reality...in consequences...in the cost of decisions made by people...who will never carry the burden themselves.
Your reaction isn’t coming from politics. It’s coming from lived experience. From watching a commander-in-chief demean the very people... who held the line long before he ever touched public office. From seeing loyalty redefined...as flattery instead of sacrifice.
And here’s the truth you already know...the strength of this country has never come from the people who chase power. It’s come from...the men and women...willing to serve without applause...without privilege...and without treating America...like a personal trophy case.
What you said lands...because it’s coming from someone who’s been on the ground...not someone performing on a stage. Your voice matters. Your clarity matters. And the country is better off EVERY time a veteran refuses to be gaslit...about what service actually is!
I’m glad it helped steady things for you, Audrey. When the noise gets this loud...it’s easy to lose your footing for a moment.
Kelly and the others didn’t just speak...they rebalanced the entire conversation. They put the moral center back where it belongs.
***Donald Trump is a pig.*** (I just felt compelled to write that...so...I did.)
And, Audrey... you’re right...we WILL damn sure get through this. Not because the storm isn’t real...but because enough people still recognize the difference between lawful authority...and performative power.
That’s what keeps a country intact...even...in a season like this.
Mark Kelly is a true American who loves his country and family. He has lived thru more than most could even imagine. I truly hope the troops take heed of his advice and the other 5 on the video. The blowing up of boats in the Caribbean needs to stop now! This is a waste of our resources and hugely expensive just like putting the national guard in cities and letting ice run rampant. He speaks from his heart as a leader is supposed to and only wants the troops to be safe and follow only lawful orders. Thanks for this post Jack..
Teri...you said it perfectly. Mark Kelly isn’t speaking as a politician...he’s speaking as someone who’s lived the weight of that oath in ways most Americans can’t even comprehend.
When a man who has buried friends...flown into danger...and carried the responsibility of command looks the troops in the eye and says...‘Follow only lawful orders,’ that’s not rhetoric. That’s lived truth.
And also right about the rest...blowing up boats in the Caribbean...militarizing cities... turning the Guard into political stage props… none of that strengthens the country.
It drains resources...endangers service members...and blurs the line between lawful missions and political theater.
Kelly’s message was the reminder the moment demanded...that the oath has boundaries... that troops are not tools...and that safety and legality aren’t optional... they’re mandatory.
I appreciate you seeing the heart...behind what he said. Leaders who’ve carried the real weight...don’t talk to the troops lightly. They talk...to protect them.
Democracy dies in darkness and in silence. We will not be silent. We will shine a light on unlawful actions and injustice. We will not obey in advance. We will continue to protest peacefully.
Exactly right, Karen. Democracies don’t collapse because a handful of loud people attack them...they collapse because too many good people go quiet. Silence is the oxygen authoritarian movements depend on.
What you’re describing is the antidote...light...noise...presence...and a refusal to ‘obey in advance.’ Peaceful protest isn’t just a right...it’s a pressure-relief valve that keeps the system honest.
Staying vocal...staying visible...and staying principled is how citizens remind institutions... who they actually work for. Your commitment to that isn’t small. It’s the kind of thing that keeps the rest of the country from losing its footing
Thank you for your comments. I am proud that my Senator, Mark Kelly, realized his statement was necessary. The President knows this is what our service members need to hear in a situation like the one he has put our military in and he hates it. It’s so much more difficult to manipulate someone when they are not sure of where they stand. Sen Kelly and 5 other Congress members did our whole country proud with that straightforward, strong, and honest PSA to service members. That our legislators would get involved in this fight is to me a good sign.
Hooray for Mark Kelly and for each and every one of you who took the oath and always uphold it! I am so proud of everyone who does, and I admired that visible character in my now deceased family members and friends, too!
# HOLD FAST FOR SURE!
That’s exactly right, JP4M. The people who take the oath...and live it...day in and day out ...are the reason this country still has a backbone.
Kelly didn’t create that integrity...he simply recognized it...out loud...at a moment when it needed to be said.
Your pride is well-placed. The character you saw in your family and friends... is the same character holding the line today.
#HoldFast isn’t just a hashtag... it’s the reminder that the standard didn’t break...and the people who kept it alive deserve to be honored!

Yes! #HOLDFAST, EL...and Happy Thanksgiving to YOU!

💯 - “And Mark Kelly’s message wasn’t just a reminder.
It was a moral reinforcement that the republic…hasn’t forgotten who actually keeps it upright.”
