It's amazing to me that I, a retired little old lady in upstate New York, can feel so much angrier than the Democrats, who allegedly have a say, and there's not a damn thing I can do about it. Sure, I can march in protest, email and call my senators and congressmen (women), and follow closely the chaotic undoing of democracy. This is why I appreciate so much you telling it like it is. I'm not interested in reading pretty platitudes and outright lies, which pretty much sums up what is out there in the mainstream media. And I've watched those people slither down the sewer for a while. Anyway, thank you, Jack. Keep doing what you're doing.
First off—I like you, Jan. I like your fire. I like that you’re not sitting quietly in some corner, sipping tea...hoping someone else figures it out. You’re paying attention. You care. And you’re mad. Good. Stay mad. We’re going to need that.
The fact that you’re reading this...sharing it..talking about it...pushing your senators...even just refusing to look away—that’s work. That’s pressure. That’s doing something most people won’t.
And here’s where you’re dangerous to the machine: you’re not buying the packaged lies.
You’re not here for the soothing nonsense. You’re here for the fight. And I’ll tell you something—I’ll keep writing like this because of people like you. People who won’t let the fire die. People who remind the rest of us to stay in the fight...even when it feels impossible.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting this. And thank you for not settling for pretty words when what we need is grit!
Thank you, Jack. And I need to add this: I believe there are thousands just like you and me, who will do whatever it takes to stop the insanity. At my age I would consider it an honor to die for my beloved country and for those who deserve to live on after us. And I don't think I'm being melodramatic.
