This began before Trump was even inaugurated. You’d be surprised the power Heritage and The Federalist Society have over the military and Congress. I’d posit that many of the younger officer’s and cadets share these fascist views.
Additionally, while Biden was president, Ruth Ben-Ghiat, history professor at NYU, and expert on authoritarian and fascist regimes, was barred from giving a lecture on how fascism has been used to infiltrate militaries around the world, as well as the warning signs.
The Heritage Foundation used its influence to cancel the event.

I don’t know how you get the military brass to speak out, but if they don’t, your country is well and truly fascist run. Can’t believe it’s only 80 years since hundreds of thousands died fighting these bastards 💔
This is stunning news !! I'm in shock, really....dear God 😞. Remember how Kennedy's edict came down? Same thing with the medical professionals and scientists, no publishing without permission etc. etc. Now, notice how it came down when the House went on recess? Bad actions always dropped at the weekend 😕. It's more "flooding the zone" with impending catastrophe. I dread what's next. They're rotten to the core.

This is probably the scariest thing I have read since T2.0 began. I had fears he would use the military against us, now I know how he plans it. Push back us absolutely needed. My red hats won't listen, nor care. They will just sidle up to the cash bar and vote as instructed. But, I will give voice to this and the other horrendous things they are allowing. Thanks for this piece that speaks the truth of our dire situation.
