Our Congress reps and Senators must feel the heat at every opportunity. They must acknowledge the importance of the moment. Government functions are no longer normal.

I cannot say enough how I hate hearing Democrats talk about 'we're approaching a constitutional crisis" -- we are in a constitutional crisis *right now* and the sooner we realize it the better off we will all be. Thanks for this column, I think you read my mind. JK. Our representatives need to stop bringing a spoon to a knife fight.

One of your best Substacks. The gloves must come off, it’s time for a Project 2026 fight for Democracy. Thank you.

People say I’m overreacting when I state we are in Constitutional crisis now. Trying to wake people up is tough but we have to keep trying. Thank you Jack.

I completely agree. And I am becoming rapidly more and more I want to say disenchanted, but I was never "enchanted" with the Democratic party. I consider myself very liberal but I am really considering registering as an Independent. I have to check my state rules about voting in the Primaries and if I can I will be changing my affiliation. Why? Not because I won't be voting blue, but because I don't feel like i can control much and that is something I CAN control. I call my Reps, their responses feel, exactly as you described, TEPID. I don't know WHAT they can do but I know we are not winning this fight. So what if we are winning court battles when he is defying the courts and trying to legislate ways to be allowed to defy them!! It's beyond frustrating. 4 months in... how do we survive 4 years of this??
