Your ability to convert theoretical "philosophy/wisdom" to practical and tactical action is what makes your post a must read for me every day. Thanks Jack. When this is all over many of us will have you to thank for helping us stay the course.
Deep breaths every morning, a nice cup of tea and classical music on the radio, in the background, sitting in our family room looking out on our garden is how I begin every morning…and it helps to keep me going, gives me strength as well a sense of peace…desperately needed right now! Thank you Jack…I can always count on your posts to help re-orient my focus, gives me a bit of hope to hang on to and tools for continuing the fight!!
Christie, thank you for reminding me of what life used to be like! I have a lot of preparation to do now, but I’ll work toward it.
Thank you, Jack, for the list of simplification! It is so easy to over plan, and your list is a great help. Of course, as you pointed out, our lists must be personalized.
Oh, I can’t wait to get started on this. Helper on her way here now and a busy rest-of-the-day for us while we have the chance. BUT, I’ll write it down this evening before lights out.
She will be my Face today. Her mom was mine yesterday. ☺️
This is an excellent practice. Well done, and thank you for sharing it, amigo. Have a beautiful day. Wonders abound!
Jack… thank you! I just took a deep breath and exhaled. Yeah, I do it all the time… we all do but this was a breath I didn’t realize I was holding. Yeah.. really!
I felt a weight lift from my shoulders. Truly… I did. This did that and you couldn’t know how much that means.
I didn’t realize how much I was carrying that I could do nothing about.. at least right now. I do now. I can do this.
I’m going to be honest. I didn’t expect to get this much from today’s “Bedrock” but I did. Really, it was simple but I was missing it or maybe I just needed to hear it.. or needed permission.

I’m going to re-read this every day for a week— at least— so the “how” and the “why” can compete with the volume of the panic and dread.
It’s easy to start a good habit. It’s hard to keep one going. This seems like the kind of personal infrastructure that can last.
Thank you so much.

God, I needed this. Thank you, Jack. Truly!

Permission granted, SuzieQ - that was yourself speaking. Breathe! On purpose.
Thanks, Rae!
What our OWN history has shown us...
We ALL survive better on a schedule..
7 hours of sleep...
FIRST thing in the morning, an hour of gratitude with your cup of coffee..
Some outside time .. even yard maintenance counts.
And the rest of the day spent doing things WITHOUT the annoyance of sounds that your body and mind can't handle. Sounds ARE important, too!
When I go to sleep at night, and I sleep well...
instead of counting sheep, I thank all the people that I know who are wonderfuI and have been supportive.... even those who are gone.
THEN I look forward to the next morning!
EVERY little bit helps!
