Linn, I understand so well, because Jack’s timing is exactly what I have needed so much, too! While reading the message today, I laughed, cried, beamed, applied so much to my current situation, and now am so gratefully encouraged! I still have my long list, but I think it will go faster now, thanks to Jack’s detailed message. I am happy knowing that you also are moved by it. As I work, I will think about the fact that there are people in lots of places who also are enjoying getting things done and feeling so good about it!

Jack, I absolutely love this golden encouragement you have given today! Thank you, and I’m still smiling! I had to laugh about planning the first task so a raccoon could even finish it. They definitely are determined creatures! It parallels the fact that for a couple of days I have felt stronger, physically, and that, along with your message, adds up to lots of encouragement!

Along the way of reading your valuable suggestions, three, and probably more techniques of the past came to mind.

1. My father stood by the idea that if you’ve got a job to do, do it so it’s done and you do not have to keep thinking about it anymore, as opposed to my continually repeating what I had to do.

2. Long ago a friend and I started sharing our accomplishments at the end of the day, and we still do, even at a great distance.

3. In one of the Dr. Wayne Dyer books from the 1980s, he made a statement I used to repeat more often. It was, “Doers get things done.” It has helped to keep repeating the words and often singing them, or even adding verses while singing it at intervals while working.

4. Adapting words of a dear late relative, another motto to remember is, “Think how good you’ll feel when it’s done!”

5. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs sang in the children’s record, “Just whistle while you work, wh wh wh wh wh wh wh”.

5. Nobody helpful belongs far down a list because everyone encouraging is valuable and deserves to be tied as number 1. That includes valuable friends, living and others now deceased, who have been and are so positive and encouraging. It is fun to work with them and to share some goals. I always appreciate encouragement and accomplishment. Accomplishment takes longer than it did fifty or sixty years ago though. Some goals must be met alone. The list awaits, both for today and ongoing with deadlines, and the opportunity to read your golden message during my necessary break will help me feel still better as I give myself credit for doing the work I planned. It has been helping all the while since I started reading it, Jack! I have made screen shots for myself and remain so excitingly grateful to you because it is a helpful catalyst in so much I absolutely want to do and must do! You have also brought to mind many dear people whose paired accomplishments and encouragement throughout their lives remains a precious package. I’ll go through the day chanting or singing, when I get tired, “I’ve got it in me!” I could even add, “Jack said so!”

I finished hard things today. I didn’t have a choice. They had to be done. Today. NOW.

In the correct order.

1. ✅

2.✅

3.✅ It got hard here.

4.✅

5.✅

Great stuff Jack. Thank you! This might be a good example of the power of a few insignificant nobodys speaking a few simple irrefutable facts to a nobody reporter working with the local Fox affiliate that had the balls to publish:

Neighbors of Portland’s ICE facility concerned about federal agents, not protestors

Thank you for the prescription to do more. And also to know everything doesn't go smoothly and I am apt to fail, but that happens. Just get back up and keep on keeping on. 💥🙌✌️
