From her article
“This lack of transparency isn't hypothetical—it has real-world consequences. Senators Warner and Kaine have raised the alarm that criminals are now impersonating masked ICE agents to commit acts of theft, assault, kidnapping, and even sexual violence. "Criminals are taking advantage of ICE's anonymity and impersonating law enforcement officers," they wrote, "resulting in several criminal acts" (Newsweek).” Scary Times
There’s more Co’s online like Amazon sell police gear and sirens. 1500 domestic terrorists pardoned on day 1. Neo Nazi’s wear masks, have a compound in Michigan under 1st amendment. I posted that article. Congress will be out all of July, Senate don’t know yet
Once again we, the rank and file, scream: “WHERE THE HELL IS THE DEMOCRAT’S LEADERSHIP?”!!!!! They should be screaming from the rooftops, filling lawsuits against masked police, be on every MSM, podcasts etc everyday railing against this stuff. All all we hear is 🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗
Jack, did you ever read Thom Hartmann's "letters from detention"? There are two posts, I believe. They're chilling, describing a future state where this administration has moved on from immigrants and started rounding up voices of dissent. You tell us not to worry, and I appreciate that (as someone prone to anxiety), but this is something that's been on my radar for a while now.
I'm concerned. Yet I don't know what I can do or control in this situation. ICE isn't in my community yet. It IS in the communities where my colleagues work, but that's far from me--a coast away.
The most life-chaging thing I've done to act on my concern and act within my locus of control has been to move back to my climate-safe home town and give up my life in NYC because I believe my great-grandchildren will need the acreage we have here. So that's me acting in concern about climate change, but I don't know what to do NOW.

The masks, the lack of warrants, the unmarked cars, and...as someone else noticed (here: https://noelcasler.substack.com/p/macarthur-park?utm_campaign=email-half-post&r=e1i9b&utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email)...the unlikely footwear of the ICE agents implies an untrained militia-type force drawn from over-eager MAGA masculine types.
