Agree, this senior citizen, long time Democrat, feels like a person without a party. I welcome younger, stronger, voices. The many fine Democrats in my age group just don't have the juice and the nerve to fight this regime. I need a party that will know what it takes to protect my grandchildren and their parents a chance for a peaceful and ethical America.
We may have to start a brand new party. It sounds like Pete Buttigieg is working on a project. He and Heather Cox Richardson had a great discussion yesterday.
I’m glad you stated that you don’t particularly like Hogg but still respect him and agree with some of the things he says because I feel the same way. Our country is under attack from the inside so this is no time for the Democratic Party to continue to play nice and not make a fuss. They need to be out in front of the capital daily, they need to be on all social media screaming about what’s going on. The rank-and-file have been out protesting all over the country on a daily basis. The members of congress and senate should be out there with them. As the old saying goes: “lead, follow or get the hell of the way”.
A whole lot of work to do. One suggestion. We must get our presidential candidate(s) front and center right now. If for no other reason than to loosen Trump's lock on the narrative. We absolutely must get that back. We can't just keep bitching about the shit Trump is doing. Acting all appalled. And then crickets.

Yes to all of this. The opposition party to MAGA needs to have a vision and goals. And that vision and those goals need to be more than “defeat MAGA.” There is no message other than “Trump is bad so vote Democrat.” And we need young folks to run for office and mentorship to make this happen. I had hoped Biden would help Harris with this more than he did. Thank you Jack.
