You continue to be my rock and a major source of grounding and empowerment for me Jack. I’m now involved in so many social and political actions locally that I am overwhelmed and too busy in the best way. This is what I did on Tuesday morning this week. There is much more to the story behind this meeting and what’s happening with those of us who spoke (including being doxxed by the county when they chose to stream the meeting live and not bother to redact our personal information). But what’s done is done. I’m not sorry and I’m just getting started. I begin speaking at 49:06. I was terrified but I didn’t let it stop me. I couldn’t have done it without you, my friend.
Much of this is what I learned (and forgot) in my aftercare intensive outpatient treatment. We taught about NLP/R Neural Lingual Processing by Repetition Over Time. I have a list of Feelings and Emotions, and another list of Body Sensations. And I have “skills” to practice where I identify the feelings and sensations and add specific statements, e.g. “I’m ok and I’m going to be ok” -or- “I’m doing my best, and my best is good enough”
The only problem is, based on my experience, the calmest person in the room is always out in charge in a crisis. Not really a problem, I suppose, but still…
Staying calm has led me to put it this way: when the shit hits the fan, first turn off the fan. That’s like “stop the bleeding” in first aid, so it’s good advice.
Hi Jack- still grateful and appreciative for your work. Having a challenging time printing, SStack divides the paragraphs into separate, non-mergeable text boxes. I did one by tediously c&p’ing each one then reassembling it in Notes. Took about an hour. I’m sure there’s a better way, is SStack trying to protect your copyright? Makes sense, I respect that, I just don’t like being forced into it. Lotta quirks here I had not noticed, but your work transcends most of em. Thanks!
Awesome plan. I need to print this and carry it with me.

This spoke directly to me.

Thank you for reminding me……
I’m okay, and I’m going to be okay 👍

Just sent this to an American friend I met on Twitter. She’s in dire need of this advice.
Many thanks Jack.

Thanks, you always have such good information.
