Thanks for the speedy correction, Jack. You caught it just in time before my brain completely exploded.

You're welcome, Sherri. I'm glad there were some adequately caffeinated brains out there who caught it...and who motivated me. When I screw up...I want to know...fast...so I can fix it. I work pretty hard not to do that...but...I let this one get by.

You are absolutely right about still making people aware of things they attempt that aren't legal, allowable, or constitutional.

Facts matter. Words matter. Truth is PARAMOUNT and they lie and twist. Project. Blame.

People are busy and those fine print items are EVERYWHERE!!

Thanks for updating us all and keep on keeping on!!!

Unlike many Senators and Representatives, I actually read most of the bill after it was passed to the Senate (I still haven't recovered). When I saw Section 70302, I hit the ceiling! Then, I learned that Section 70302 was a "hidden provision", slipped into the bill nefariously in the dark of night, about 1 am, by the Republicans just before it went to the Senate. I thought, "Hmmm...so now the House has its own Shadow Docket. Cheat! Cheat! Cheat! Of all the underhanded moves! But what can you expect from the Republicans?" I sent a strongly worded (nay, scathing) letter to my Senators, Feckless Fetterman and MAGA McCormick. I then cc'd the remaining 98 Senators on the letter (I told Fetterman and McCormick that I was going to do so). Each cc had to be sent individually, and 3 email inboxes wouldn't accept a letter if it didn't come from a constituent. I managed to get the letter out to 95 of the remaining 100 Senators. (Now, I'm on all of their email lists and receive newsletters from many. Helps me keep tabs on what the Republican Senators are up to. Some, I just couldn't stomach anymore, so unsubscribed.) I was thrilled a few days later when I learned that the Parliamentarian removed the provision from the "OBBB" (One Bad Bloated Bill). THANKS JACK for keeping us up to date and on our toes!

I just called my R Rep. Hurd to correct my concern about that section. But continue to voice my concern about Project 2025 and its part of the ugly budget bill among the former Party.

I've already emailed my senators about it -- but I'm not sorry. Disgusting that it was in there to begin with! Thanks, Jack!

I was about to scream all the way from the UK then I read the update. But who knows where it'll be buried next.

Who caught it and stopped it first time?

I had thought it had been removed before the BBB went out, but wasn't 100% sure and didn't have time this morning to verify. Thanks for your correction!
