A Quick Correction-and Why I’m Still Glad That Piece Went Out
Some of you caught this already…but it’s worth setting the record straight: the contempt-limiting clause I detailed in Hold the F** On!!*…Section 70302…did not survive into the final version of the “Big Beautiful Bill.” It was removed under Senate review before passage.
That said…I’m still glad the piece went out when it did.
The feedback on social media made one thing clear: most people had no idea this provision had ever been on the table.
And if there’s one thing we all need to stay aware of…it’s every single one of these buried power plays…especially the ones that get quietly slipped into 900-page bills and then yanked only after public heat builds.
So, yes…this one was dropped…and that’s good news!
But the bigger truth stands:
They’ll try again. Quieter. Deeper. And the fact that a clause like that even existed for a moment should remind all of us how fast things can move in the dark. Staying alert isn’t paranoia…it’s civic maintenance.
A BIG “Thank you!’ to those who caught this and immediately let me know. That’s valuable…to say the least.
Best,
-Jack
Thanks for the speedy correction, Jack. You caught it just in time before my brain completely exploded.
Thx for the quick revision, Jack, still good info to store.
