They are the …take a breath… trick of reading comprehension. Good tool! Sometimes you have to break the rules of writing to get the point across.

I have used this probably without consciously knowing why. Thanks for the ex[lanation. It is also why I probably never asked you why you did it. I always felt it was easier to read.

I was a reading teacher for years, and this writing method is akin to teaching a new reader to look at text in "chunks." It gives a pause for comprehension. I approve!

My elipses drivers people nuts. I never knew really why I use them. . . they just feel right. HA!

Those three little dots help convey tone and cadence to learning different students. I’m also fond of the ellipsis at the end of a sentence, however, not to convey something trivial, but when words fail entirely.

Ellipses harness the dopamine in all of us. I prefer two, but to each his own..

When you leave words out in a quote, or put two parts together without wanting to use the middle. "The Supreme Court judges...hold their offices during good behavior."

Doing a little bit better, you’re a brilliant man, everything you write about. Through your writings, I see you as a good honest thoughtful man, has empathy, courage, strength, kindness, compassion, caring about others, love of family and Country. Grammar is important, I appreciate what you wrote to those who criticize or critique your grammar, I’m sure they understand now. Thank Jack

As a former typesetter and compositor, it bugs me that people don't know that ellipses must be preceded and followed by a thin space. Since we don't have access to a thin space, a B-Flat space works ... like this. At any rate, I love your content too much to let your lack of spaces bother me!
