Doing all I am, Jack. And I so appreciate your suggestions. O e thing I'm not sure about is how and who to donate to. Places like Moveon seems useless, as it gives to Democrats who are doing nothing helpful. Ideas?

First off...Robyn...thank you for being in the fight. Every single call, post, and conversation matters more than people realize.

You have brought up a very important question. I am going to create a guide to insert into one of the next issues of JHN....all because of your willingness to ask this question.

So...about 40,000 subscribers...at the very least...will be benefitting from this single...critically important question you just asked...and I'll give you full credit in the piece.

You’re right… spraying donations at the usual suspects like MoveOn often just fattens the same lazy Democratic machine that’s been sitting on its hands while the country slides into autocracy.

Here’s my take: donate like a sniper...not a sprinkler.

Target small, high‑impact local races...state legislatures...secretaries of state...AGs.

These offices decide voting access...investigations...and lawsuits.

Support legal defense and watchdog orgs that are actually punching back in court...places like the ACLU...Protect Democracy...and Campaign Legal Center.

Fund rapid‑response activists and local organizers who turn pressure into headlines.

Groups like Indivisible or grassroots state coalitions will get more done with $50 than a D.C. PAC does with $5000.

And one last piece of advice: call the group and ask them how your money will be used. If they can’t answer clearly, move on.

We need dollars flowing to fighters..not fundraisers!

Jack, thanks for the reminder that we need action because norms and tweets won’t save us. We need to shout, call, march, donate, disrupt and embarrass those in office so they fight or get replaced by someone who will fight for us.

As you said, the only thing that stops an authoritarian freight train is a wall of pissed‑off Americans who refuse to be run over.

Democratic collapse or GOP collapse? Watching DLW and it looks like GOP struggling to be the least bit relevant!

Hi Jack, great article. I did a little article of my own about Governor Abbott if you would like to read it.
