It’s Friday. You made it.

I want you to stop for a second–actually stop–and take that in…because you’re going to rush right past it if I let you.

You made it through another week.

Another week of the flood. Another week of the gut-punches…the outrage…the exhaustion machine running full blast…aimed straight at you. Another week they bet would be the one that finally wore you down to nothing.

And…here you are. Still standing. Still reading. Still in it.

You think that’s ordinary. It isn’t. Let me tell you what it actually is.

Endurance doesn’t look like anything

Here’s the cruel trick of this kind of fight: winning it doesn’t look like winning.

There’s no finish line you cross with your arms up. No crowd. No moment…where a bell rings…and someone declares you made it. Endurance is invisible. It looks like a tired person…doing the ordinary things…one more day.

So…you don’t feel like you’re winning. You feel like you’re just barely hanging on.

But…go back and remember what we established on Monday: they are trying to exhaust you. Your quitting…is the entire objective. It’s the whole game.

Which means…every ordinary day you refuse to quit…is a day they lose.

You didn’t feel heroic this week. You felt tired. But…you got up. You carried what was yours and…if you took Wednesday to heart…you started setting down what wasn’t. You hit your floor even on the days it was all you could do.

That’s not “barely hanging on.” That’s winning the exact war being waged against you…one unglamorous day at a time.
