Why I’m Doing It Differently – And Why It Benefits You
The Jack Hopkins Now Newsletter-Announcement
This is a follow-up to the announcement I sent out a few days ago. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately…and there’s one thing that has become crystal clear: most newsletters with paid subscriptions have it completely backwards.
This revelation hit me like getting a letter from the IRS saying I owed them $5 million. It did.
It was that jarring…except it jarred me into a place where everything felt right, and my head suddenly had clarity on this issue.
Let me explain. In the world of content-based subscriptions, the standard approach is to give away the bulk of your material for free…and then offer a few “perks” for those who pay.
In other words, free subscribers get the lion's share of the content…and paid subscribers get limited or exclusive bonus content.
At first glance, this model might seem like a good idea…and…for the most part…it’s how I structured mine when I started…because…well, that’s what everyone else did, so…
But when you think about it, it just doesn’t make sense.
Why? Because the paid subscribers are the ones funding the entire operation.
They are the ones who are helping keep the lights on…making it possible for me to continue creating content and dedicating my time to this project.
So, why shouldn’t they get the bulk of the content?
It’s only logical that those who are directly supporting the newsletter should receive the most value, while free subscribers get one rock-solid article a week to stay engaged.
As I mentioned a few days ago, this is the model I will be implementing moving forward.
Paid subscribers will get access to 4-8 articles per week…videos…podcast episodes earlier than the general public…Trump Reports…and more…. while free subscribers will receive one free article per week.
This ensures that those of you who are helping me grow this platform are getting exclusive content: content that reflects your support and investment in what I do.
Here’s why this works:
It Rewards Commitment:
You, as a paid subscriber, are making it possible for this newsletter to continue. It only makes sense that you should get access to more in-depth articles…exclusive insights…and the kind of content that isn’t available to everyone.
This model ensures that your commitment is being rewarded.
It Builds a Stronger Community:
The best content should be reserved for those who are truly invested…people like you who believe in what I’m creating.
By doing this, I’m creating a community of like-minded individuals who value this content and are eager to engage with the deeper…richer materials I can provide.
It Helps Me Focus on Quality:
When paid subscribers are the main focus…I can dedicate even more time and effort to creating content that is valuable and insightful.
This enables me to continually improve the quality of the articles…the analysis…and the depth of the topics covered.
The Bottom Line:
By switching to this new model…I’m able to invest more in paid subscribers and create content that’s truly worth the value.
You’ll get more of what you love…more in-depth articles…exclusive updates…and the kind of content that truly adds value to your day.
For those of you who are still considering becoming a paid subscriber, this is the perfect opportunity to get in on the ground floor and secure your spot at the old price.
Until midnight this Thursday, May 15th…2025…you’ll get the subscription price I started with almost two years ago: $8 a month-monthly/ $80 annually.
Not only that, but if you’re still a paid subscriber 5 years from now…that’s still all you’ll be paying.
At midnight on May 15th, however…it’s going to $15 a month. I know I had said $12, but I’m not focused on adding a kazillion new subscribers. The annual will be $180 a month.
If someone subscribes at that rate, I’ve had enough feedback from paid subscribers that I know they’ll be getting a lot of bang for their buck…even at that price.
If I get new paid subscribers after May 15th, I’ll know they’re looking for a tribe to call home. They’ve read my FREE articles…found value in them…and want to be part of a serious and committed group of fighters.
If they decide “I’m not paying that much!”, that’s fine. They’ll receive a high-quality and informative article each week…for free.
I’m going to be focused on taking extra-special care of the generous supporters I already have, as well as any new ones I may gain, who have chosen to make the Jack Hopkins Now Newsletter possible with their support.
If you’ve been on the fence about upgrading…now is the time to join the core group that will shape the future of this newsletter.
Your support means everything to me, and I want to make sure you feel that value in return.
If a car dealership took better care of those who just come in every month and test drive a car, than those who buy them…we’d probably think that was upside down, backwards…and tone deaf. It would be.
Therefore…I’m getting things turned around…and rolling out the red carpet for the subscribers…who are “driving away in a new car”…..for …a hell of a lot less: $8 a month/$80 a year.
It’s more in alignment with my values…and how I believe I should be taking care of my customers. Bottom line: I don’t give a damn how other people run their newsletters. I never should have. This is the most ethical way to do it, and that’s become very clear to me.
If you’re a free subscriber…I invite you to come join us before midnight, this Thursday… May 15th, 2025…and lock in the $8/$80 paid subscriber price…forever.
You’ll be saving $100 a year if you subscribe before the end of the day this Thursday…rather than after.
If you’re already a paid subscriber, there’s nothing you need to do; you’ll be grandfathered into the $8 a month/$80 a year…and it will never increase.
Thank you for your continued support…and I can’t wait to share all the exciting things I have planned!
Warmly,
Jack
Am hoping people like you emerge in such numbers that the overbloated propagandist crackpipe media go the f$%^ away!
thanks for your strong and committed voice!
I always look forward to your news articles. As a paid subscriber, I do hope you stay engaged with non paying subscribers as well. Your content and style is well appreciated and worth the subscription. I truly believe independent journalism will win the day. Most of the Substack journalists are the real deal - The ones with real passion and believe in fair reporting and most of all, they couldn’t stop if they wanted to. The power of the pen informs and makes a difference. Sometimes brain washing like Fox News or protecting democracy. You and your colleagues have chosen the later at great personal risk- financially and personal. Thank you.
