If I could upgrade beyond inner circle I would! 😡

That means more than you know, Tom. Truly.

And the fact that you’d even say that...tells me you’re exactly the kind of person this whole thing is built for...the people who don’t just read...but lead...think...and actually fight back with clarity.

If I ever create a level beyond the Inner Circle...you’ll be the first name on the list.

I appreciate you being here more than you realize. Keep riding with me ...the next pieces are going to be even hotter!

But I would be less than honest if I didn’t admit that being an older widower has given me enormous freedom to not give a fuck about what people think- and just do the right thing- fuck the consequences.

Jack- I’d imagine you might be surprised how deeply your words touch the community you’ve built here. I can only speak for myself: my heart aches painfully everyday for what we’ve lost the last ten years. Even when Joe was president the specter of maga washed over the news cycles. I want to be a part of the solution that eliminates cruelty and blatant racism - and embraces caring, compassion and empathy for those less fortunate.

I've always refered to MTG as a Sporktoed, WortHog from Hell. Tonight I am humbled, Jack. I'm glad you've pointed out so vividly just how dangerous she is, not just to trump, but for the country as a whole. She's not just a safety hazard, but a National Security Risk. One might go so far as to say Domestic Terrorists perhaps?!! Thank you so much for posting this evening, and for putting a spotlight on the danger that's on our doorstep.... and will reStack ASAP 💯👍

I hear you...Karen...and trust me, you’re not wrong about the “Sporktoed WortHog” energy.

But underneath the clown-show exterior...is something far more volatile...and that’s the part too many people...have underestimated. She’s not just chaotic… she’s useful to the people who want chaos. That’s what makes her dangerous. That’s what makes her a threat far bigger than her IQ score suggests.

You saw it immediately tonight...that instinct...that gut-level recognition that what looks like buffoonery...is actually weaponized instability. And yes...you’re absolutely right to frame it through the national security lens. That’s where the real risk lives.

Thank you for being here... for paying attention...and for helping shine light...where most people are still squinting in the dark. And thank you for the reStack... it matters more than you know!

MTG has always played the fringe crazy and they are the scariest of all. They have no boundaries. They have no fear. They have no governors. She did say today that she felt threatened by T and was hiring private security. Not sure how true that is or if it is a play for sympathy. For sure she is not getting any from me. None of the GOPers have my sympathy . Every last one of them is an abomination. I appreciate what Thomas Massie has done for the Epstein victims. But how far does that go. So I have my notes and ready to go. I already give my nabobs a daily earful+, so now I have more today. I appreciate your insight and next actionable steps! Thanks, Jack!

You’re exactly right, Jo... the fringe-crazy types... are always the most dangerous... because they have no boundaries...no brakes...and no sense of consequence.

That’s why MTG isn’t just a sideshow...she’s a risk vector that powerful people can weaponize.

Her “I feel threatened, I’m hiring private security” line reads like pure positioning...an attempt to play victim while she stirs chaos. And I’m with you...not one ounce of sympathy for people who built this mess.

Massie doing one right thing for Epstein victims is fine...great, even...but one good moment doesn’t erase years of enabling. Patterns matter.

I love that you’ve got your notes...and you’re giving your reps that daily earful ...that’s exactly the kind of pressure they hate...from informed citizens.

Proud to have you in this fight. More coming!

Jack. this article is one of the best. As a test engineer, I measure the outcomes of cause and effect. What works and what fails is what I have trained for. Prepared is the safety procedure that is the program make leaders recognize the abnormal that causes failure.

Jack Hopkins's avatar

Thank you...that means a lot, John. And coming from someone trained to read failure states...and causal chains... it hits even harder. (No...lol...I'm not an engineer...but three of my cousins are...and I've talked with them enough to have picked up a little lingo)

What you just described is exactly the lens we need right now...recognizing abnormal patterns before they break the system. People think politics is emotion and luck...but it’s cause...effect...signal...and failure modes.

Prepared citizens see what others miss.

You’re one of them.

Glad you’re here and locked in. More coming!

So, what is her game at the moment? And who is she aligned with? She’s receiving attention and praise from both the right and left for her stance on the Epstein files and her criticism of Donald Trump. Some people are saying she’s changed and is a softer, better person, meaning she will truly play fair politically and has “seen the light.” I don’t buy this; my gut feeling is that she and her supporters are positioning themselves to be the next evolution of Republicans and to reclaim those lost through the current administration’s cruelty and abuse. So, I’d like your take, Jack, on what’s really going on.

Expand full comment
Jack Hopkins's avatar

You’re right not to buy the “she’s changed” narrative ...that’s wishcasting...not reality.

MTG doesn’t pivot out of compassion...she pivots when power shifts. And right now...she smells weakness...chaos...and an opening in the GOP food chain.

Her game is simple...step over Trump...while pretending to stand with the victims.

It’s rebranding...not redemption. She’s aligning with whoever helps her survive the next evolution of the party...the post-Trump faction that wants the rage without the baggage.

The praise from both sides isn’t proof she’s better... it’s proof she’s exploiting a moment. She’s positioning herself and her wing...as the “new responsible conservatives”...while keeping all the extremism intact.

Your gut is right...this is strategic adaptation...not enlightenment. And it’s exactly why we need to watch her...more closely than ever.

I see marge as the logical extension of felon-in-chief. On a venn diagram of the toxicities, they share the center circle, with a couple of minor caveats: she is female & she is apparently invulnerable. She carries the maga torch forward, with even less stability & even more menacing chaos. Growing a soul? Doesn't look like it to me. She's shrewd & power-hungry. Thanks, Jack, for your thoughtful articulation of the threat she poses--not just for the orange one but for the US & the world.

You nailed it, Karen. MTG isn’t a break from Trump...she’s the logical mutation of him.

Same toxins...same impulses...same authoritarian wiring… just wrapped in someone even less stable and far more willing to cross lines he still tiptoes around.

There’s nothing “growing” in her except ambition.

She’s shrewd...power-hungry...and utterly unbothered by the damage she causes. That’s why she’s so dangerous...she can carry the MAGA torch forward...without the legal baggage he drags behind him.

You saw the threat clearly...and you said it plainly. That matters! And I appreciate you being here and keeping your eyes wide open. More to come.

I didn't follow MTG before and so have no experience of what she's said or done in the past. I appreciate people's drawing attention to red flags, but I take her as I hear and see her today in matters of importance to me and to the commons. She's on the side of truth, beauty, and goodness when it comes to Epstein and seeing through many of the charades playing out in full view of us all. It does no good to tear her down. Thoughts and words have power.

If she has political aspirations, so what? What candidate for the least to the greatest public office doesn't have something personal in the mix, even if it's simply to be of service?

I find value in an excerpt from a book without having to purchase the whole volume.

I hear you...1WhiteTree...and it’s good you’re evaluating what she’s saying today...instead of reacting purely to reputation.

But with figures like MTG...the pattern is the story. One moment of alignment with truth... doesn’t erase years of chaos...disinformation...and reckless behavior...that helped build the environment we’re trying to clean up now.

Her stance on Epstein is useful...I’m glad she’s amplifying it...but that doesn’t mean the underlying motives or instincts have changed. People can land on the right side of an issue...for the wrong reasons.

So I don’t tear her down... I just keep the full pattern in view. Thoughts and words have power...which is exactly why we should stay clear-eyed about who wields them...and how. I appreciate you engaging this with an open mind!

For an instant, I thought MTG's motivation insisting on release of the files was she was a woman. I think she even got our very own Bobo on board. But I suspected something way more sinister was going on here. Thanks for the clarification.

Expand full comment
Jack Hopkins's avatar

You weren’t wrong, Greg... to wonder if it was a “women protecting women” moment...that’s exactly the surface narrative she wanted people to bite on. But with MTG...there’s always a deeper play...and it’s never altruistic.

Getting Boebert on board was part of the optics. The real move...was positioning herself for power...in a post-Trump GOP...and using the Epstein files...as the vehicle.

You saw the shift...you sensed the motive ...you were right to trust that instinct.

Glad I could help sharpen the picture. More coming!

tRump has normalized child rape and MTG hasn’t done that yet but I can’t wait.

Expand full comment
Jack Hopkins's avatar

I hear the frustration, Laura...agree...and I get why people feel pushed to the edge after years of seeing powerful figures skate past accountability.

But the real danger...isn’t in assuming anyone has “normalized” anything… it’s in recognizing how the constant chaos...cruelty...and conspiracy around them...knocks people off balance...and lowers the bar for what’s considered acceptable.

MTG hasn’t crossed the lines...Trump has...but she’s part of the same ecosystem of instability...and opportunism ...and that’s what we have to stay laser-focused on.

Your instincts about the threat are right! We just keep the analysis sharp so we can hit where it matters most.

There are people in the MAGA ecosystem who think that child rape is now OK. Just look at the fat guy that is showing up all over Substack who does not care that tRump is a child rapist. And the always hideous Megyn Kelly who thinks raping a 15 year old is not as horrific as raping a 5 year old. Both are child rape period. That is my point. Yes I am beyond frustrated that this is not as appalling as it was even 10 years ago. Also watch Glenn Kirschner discuss the murdering that is being perpetuated off the coast of S. America. Mr. Maurer talks about if this were being done in LA or Miami as a response to drug dealing the response would be completely different. But thanks as always for great articles and tolerating my screeds!!!!
