Indefensible Rumor Section: Seems I’ve written this before, if here sorry, but if not: I have been hearing repeated armchair diagnoses by a variety of well-qualified (hey, it’s the internet!) medical professionals suggest all the cankle and wrist coverups are attempted concealment of treatment for congestive heart failure. I am not a doctor nor play one on TV, but I somewhat know this disease, and it lines up consistently.
So the theory goes on to suggest he really only has 6-8 mos before shuffling off this mortal coil, hence the unbelievable acceleration of P2025 to ram stuff through before Vance moves up, groundwork laid, then they just drive him on along until whatever unimaginaby horrid next step happens. But I don’t think they can do it, they are a lot of things but perfectionists aren’t on the list.
Now I’m hearing buzz that Junior is the likely next pick for a full term, somehow they feel the magats will be just fine with him.
I agree all of these theatrics involving the National Guard, the takeover of Union Station, etc are cover ups for not just that pesky Epstein issue. I feel there is more and I’m a big believer in the phrase, “follow the money”. I am also a total rube when it comes to, among other things, crypto, bitcoins, mining, etc.
If you have time, will you please consider doing a column on two bills that I believe have passed through the House and are awaiting action by the Senate?
CLARITY Act (H.R. 3633)
If I understand it correctly, among other things, it will transfer oversight of stable coins from the SEC to the CFTC. Who would this protect, the stable coin miners or the rest of us? Perhaps I’m wrong but my guess is the protection is mutually exclusive.
Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act (H.R.1919 and S. 1124)
If I understand it correctly, among other things, this would obligate the Fed to (a) work only with stable coin miners, thus (b) preventing the Fed from ‘mining’ on its own. What would the impact be during a recession if the Fed sees a need to shore up into the economy?
