I restocked and also forwarded to 4 people in hopes they will pay attention. Tis is all part of the plan as you say . Flood the zone. I am listed for a mail ballot here in Florida and they sent an email that they one for the primaries should be here in the next couple weeks. I had deliver to the election office to put in their drop box and then follow up with on check to be sure it is counted.

This is EXACTLY it, Teri.

Restocked and forwarded to four. That's the ENTIRE strategy in ONE damn move: don't just take it in...pass it ON.

Every one of those four...is someone who might not have seen it otherwise. And...your Florida plan is airtight…HAND-DELIVER to the drop box...then follow up to CONFIRM it's counted.

That's how you take the mail-ballot games...OFF the table entirely.

Grateful for YOU…YOU'RE the engine.

That is what I do. I get the ballot by mail, complete it, and drop it off at the Supervisor of Elections office near me. I don't trust the mail enough to actually mail it back. I love that we can track the status.

I’m in Northern California.. I turned in a mail in ballot.. but I have a ballot tracker.. this greedy Orange Fvckwit will never leave the WH.. we have to flood the midterms to take back our country.

Jack Hopkins's avatar

Morgan...the ballot tracker is exactly the right move.

Confirm it every step until it says "counted," and don't ASSUME anything gets easier from here. You've got the plan...now the mission is simple: FLOOD the midterms.

Every person you bring with you...is one more vote they can't quietly DISAPPEAR. That's how we take it back…one CONFIRMED ballot...and one awake NEIGHBOR at a time.

Your advice to check and recheck your voter registration Have a plan in place is excellent. It has been clear that Trump will try every trick in the book and then some to prevent Republican losses in the midterms. Dementia or not, he knows if he loses one or both houses of Congress, his life will quickly get much worse. He's a drowning man and he knows it. FWIW, I put in my application to become a poll watcher in my city.

Jack Hopkins's avatar

Ellen..."For what it's worth"…don't undersell that.

Applying to be a poll watcher is worth more than almost ANYTHING else you could do right now.

You just volunteered to become one of the EYES that makes the quiet tricks HARDER to pull off. That's EXACTLY how an honest count gets protected…real people...in real precincts...paying attention.

And...your read is dead on: a man who knows what losing costs him PERSONALLY will reach for EVERY lever there is. So we plan for ALL of it...and we don't flinch.

Thank you for stepping up like this… truly.

Just might be the most important piece you've written yet, and that's really saying something. Proudly shared across my accounts, hopefully it will reach a few people and get them involved in the fight.

Jack Hopkins's avatar

Bruce...that means more than you know…thank you.

And the sharing? That's not a small thing…that's the ENTIRE point. A piece like this ONLY matters if it travels...and YOU... just gave it legs.

Every person it reaches through YOU... is someone who might get OFF the sidelines...and into the FIGHT. That's how this works…one share...one wakened neighbor at a time.

Grateful for you, Bruce.

That's a FACT, Kelly. He can't...and he KNOWS it.

Restacked and will also forward.

I’ve never mail voted…. there is something about going in person that just works for me… I don’t even care if I have to wait in line and now…… with all the post office craziness? I definitely will be showing up in person.

The pattern (firing the refs) has bugged me from the beginning, especially the IG’s. Nothing, literally nothing, good can come of it…. The fox is certainly in the hen house. Perilous times.

We moved to the hillbilly part of the county, where mail-in was and now remains mandatory. I don’t even think there’s a polling place for miles, if at all. I voted months ago, just in time to watch the rest of the country get it on for their fight. And, the Commission follows your ballot every step- I mean every step of the process. And texts the voter at every one.

And you still get an “I Voted” sticker, as you know I am easily amused. Just not so much lately.

Tks Jack, you’re always in the know. Trump firing the referee is a well put description.

I wonder if that republican who resigned the committee early was in on the plan via Trump and simply resigned. That left the two Democrats to be displaced without any action on their part. They were forced out.

Trump taking more control. Just like His friend Erdogan, President of Turkey. Interesting that now Donald is looking at sharing our stealth fighter jet with Turkey, speaks of a deeper collusion, not to mention how that could benefit Russia.

One possible halt to these plans is for the Supreme Court to say that this committee did not qualify with their recent ruling. That’s probably not likely, however.

Tks Jack. I’m still reading you editorials, yes & holding fast.

Checking your voter registration is just a good habit to get into. I also have ballot tracker, gives peace of mind that it is where it is supposed to be. I get my ballot by mail but since Trump and his BS I drop it off by hand. Thanks Jack for bringing this matter up. Staying informed and knowing how to stay ahead of the game they are playing is going to be key. I have shared this information with several friends.

We all need to do what we can. volunteer at the polls or elections office, become a poll monitor, get folks registered to vote, help with get out the vote. whatever he does we have to be able to overcome it.

Hi Jack! I was aware of the firings and hoping you’d write about it and of course, you did.. thank you.

Right now I’m both angry and concerned but I’m also taking some action. I just restacked and forwarded this to two people. I’ll forward it to more. I’ll have to contact a couple of people another way because they don’t do smartphones or the Internet.. at all. Frustrating but I can’t change it.

I’ve been checking my registration weekly and also checking my roommates because he won’t do it. That’s more frustrating than I could possibly state. So far, both are active and all information is correct. I’ll keep checking.

Something I didn’t know… and probably should have… until all this mail-in ballot nonsense came up is that there are states that basically vote exclusively by mail. Some of the residents of those states brought it up and I just didn’t know. What do they do? Will they have another option if they want to vote in person?

I will be voting early and in person… and that’s no matter who is standing at the door with a gun.. should that be the case.. and here in North Carolina it certainly could be. Roommate will do the same. It just feels like the best option.

I have all my documents too. Birth certificate.. marriage certificate.. divorce decree.. driver’s license plus my voter ID.. because stupid me.. I didn’t change my name back after my divorce.

Is there no way to stop this? I’ve been listening to Marc Elias quite a bit. He’s more concerned than I’ve ever seen him, understandably but he and his team are working hard and are winning in court. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court Trumps them all. The power they’ve given him is criminal and certainly unconstitutional.

They know they can’t win a fair election and they’ll do anything to retain power. I fear there’s more to come.

That’s very concerning. So everyone votes by mail and there are no polling places? Voting by mail is great but I guess no one ever anticipated where we are at this point. Who would’ve?!

Lori R's avatar

There are no polling places. I get my ballot & drop it in a dropbox at the library. It is very concerning.

Susan's avatar

I’m sure someone is on top of it. I hope. Maybe Jack will see this and have some information on what could be done.

Lori R's avatar

I’m going to email my Senator. I’m not sure who handles the voting in my state. I know we refused to turn over the voters data.

Susan's avatar

Which means the USPS may not mail out ballots. I can see that going to court.

Jo Burns's avatar

Thank you SCOTUS for giving Trump this power. It was a board that assisted in setting standards and hold voting accountable and with integrity. I will share this information and hopefully open eyes of those who refuse to see.

Thank you, Jack. I’m sharing this information.

On NPR this morning, I heard that some Republicans had resigned from that board, three of them, I think, and that the remaining two Democrats were fired by him. I do not recall hearing who or how many members remained, if any.

I especially appreciate your elaboration.

What happens now regarding that board? What gives him the right to fire or control it? Maybe I should understand that, but I don’t. Any control by him is a conflict of interest, it would seem, and should not be allowed. Who can do something about repairing the board to make it fair and functional?

Thank you for the checklist of actions to take.
