The Post That Should Have Exploded… But Didn’t

The Alarming Proof That Even the “Awake” Crowd Is Hitting Snooze

The Jack Hopkins Now Newsletter #480: Friday, August 8th, 2025. 8:35 PM CST

This afternoon, I posted the following:

“The #1 predictor of our demise? Dem voters who think yelling at Republicans gets results. The real power is in hammering OUR leaders with unrelenting pressure. That’s where change happens...or it doesn’t happen at all.”

As of right now…after reposting it, after others have shared it…it’s only had 349 likes.

Three hundred forty-nine. I can post a picture of my dog and get a minimum of 2k…any day of the week.

On a platform where videos of dogs wearing sunglasses get tens of thousands…and political memes recycling the same safe outrage rack up six figures before lunch.

And I’ll tell you something…
It’s not the number itself that disturbs me.
It’s what that number says about the mindset of Democratic voters online.

It’s one of the most disturbing indicators I’ve seen in a long time.
Not about algorithms.
Not about platform bias.
But about us.

Because if this is the kind of message that barely moves the needle…
If this is what gets politely scrolled past…ignored, or avoided…
Then we are far more screwed than most of our side is willing to admit.

This isn’t just a social media post falling flat.
This is a warning light on the dashboard…the one that tells you the engine isn’t just running hot… it’s about to seize.
