Kansas could be an unforeseen battleground, so we plan on physically taking our mail in ballots to our local polling place. Republikkkans are running scared, they’re realizing there aren’t as many racists out there as they thought there were. I love to see them sweat, they deserve that and oh so much more! #HOLDFAST

If the ballots don't show up soon..call your county election office to check your request status…since a lost request can sometimes be fixed if you catch it in time.
California is sending out our ballots 10/5/26. We plan to fill out our ballots right away and then drop them off at an election drop box. I don’t trust the USPS to not muck things up even after the head of USPS was ordered to stand down on whatever certification program, so-called, they had in the pipeline. I get email and texts from the county when they receive and count my vote. I will not be intimidated.

Either he knows the answer and won't say it, which tells you what he's willing to consider, or he truly doesn't know, which makes him inept and unfit to run the FBI. A Director who can't say whether agents at polling places are illegal has failed the easiest question in the job. Nobody hedges on a crime they have no interest in committing.
The memo is the same story in legal dress. Lawyers write workarounds for laws that stand in the way, and nobody drafts a Posse Comitatus theory for fun. Read the rest as three chapters: 300,000 "suspect" voters announced on television, a Polling Place Policy on paper, and a president who told the Times he regrets not sending the Guard after the voting machines. The accusation comes first, then the justification, then the permission slip.
We have already watched the rehearsal. In March, ICE agents arrived at airports as "support" during the shutdown. DHS wouldn't specify which airports were using them, and within days armed agents in ballistic vests were checking IDs and looking at travelers' documents. The airport was the trial run. The polling place is the point.
Hegseth fired the JAGs and gave no reason. He didn't need one. You remove the people who say "no" when you expect to give orders that require it.
Markwayne Mullin is from my state, and it embarrasses me. Trump gave him the keys to DHS, and it takes no imagination to see why: Mullin spent years auditioning on every cable channel, defending whatever the boss did that week. In 2023 he stood up at a Senate hearing, appeared to start taking off his ring, and dared the Teamsters president to fight him in the committee room, until Bernie Sanders yelled at him to sit down. Now the man who couldn't handle a hearing runs the department with a written policy for agents at the polls.
Any senator who won't say plainly that troops and agents stay away from the polls has given you an answer. Publish it. Every hedge is a volunteer, and every silence is a signature.
I think of a neurosurgeon trying to "gently" inform a 14-year-old victim of a head injury in a motorcycle crash.
