May they fall like a house of cards-sooner rather than later.

If Dems win bigger than expected in special elections coming up and governor races like Virginia- that might invite more defections…

Jack Hopkins's avatar

Amen to that. The “house of cards” line is dead-on...because once one piece gives way... the rest don’t hold for long. And you’re right: if Democrats overperform in those specials and a state like Virginia...it’s not just a win on the scoreboard...it’s an engraved invitation for more defections. Nothing spooks opportunists faster than proof the tide is turning.

I wish I had read this before I started writing. Hooray! Thank you both, TV and Jack!

You are that confident there will actually be free elections—that aren’t rigged like 2024 was by Thiel and Musk? I want to believe in an electoral turnaround in 2026, but faith is kinda thin on the ground right now.

This is inspiring and giving light to the darkness I’ve been feeling. I pray the drips speed up and the floods cut loose. Ever hopeful that some sanity returns. Thank you, Jack.

Jack Hopkins's avatar

That means a lot, Jo. The fact you’re feeling light after reading tells me we’re doing this right...turning darkness into fuel. The drips always speed up once the cracks appear...and when the flood comes..it sweeps faster than anyone expects. Stay hopeful...stay sharp...we’re not just waiting for sanity to return...we’re forcing it back into the room.

Hallelujah! I am ready to force some hands and some normal behaviors. Because what we have dealt with is not normal. I feel like we have been living in a horrid remake of one flew over the cuckoo’s nest. Where’s nurse Ratched?

Judy Robinson's avatar

Wow! I’m even smiling again now!

Vivian Fletcher's avatar

I agree! Same thoughts here! Thank you, Jack.

Jack, very inspiring, and I believe the cracks are definitely there because I saw them today in Gash Patels face. The tide is turning.

Jack Hopkins's avatar

You nailed it, Bill. The cracks aren’t abstract...they’re showing up on faces now. Patel wearing it in real time is proof the tide’s shifting. And once that tide moves...it doesn’t roll back...it rolls through. Appreciate you spotting it and saying it out loud.

Jack, your every description brings even stronger hope and relief, deeper breathing, and still more reflecting. I am loving reading all of these comments, and I thank everyone for sharing these valuable, treasured thoughts of hope and understandings. I also hope that in the meantime, all people will be spared the pain and suffering which accompany the person’s obvious agenda.

Judy Robinson's avatar

That expert questioning by the senator was fabulous, and I don’t see how anybody could have listened and watched it without realizing how valuable it was. Thank you, Bill. for pointing out the look on K. Patel’s face. How revealing in case anybody needed more proof!

Jack- don’t mean to sound like an echo chamber from all here that gain strength and resilience from your words - but honestly, you give us all hope that we’ll come out of this vortex of shit and celebrate our democracy once again.

Jack Hopkins's avatar

Not an echo chamber at all, Tom...it’s fuel. If my words are giving you hope...then together we’re already bending the outcome. This “vortex of shit” doesn’t last forever. Cracks become collapses...and when they do...we’ll be ready to celebrate the democracy we refused to surrender.

The collapse of MAGA can’t happen too soon.

Jack Hopkins's avatar

Couldn’t agree more, Robert. And the beauty of it is...collapses always look impossible right up until the moment they look inevitable. MAGA’s no exception. The cracks are here... and once they spread, “too soon” will turn into right on time.

Thanks for some clarity and something that makes a small ray of light from the horror of this past week

Jack Hopkins's avatar

Grateful you said that, Teri. That “small ray of light” is exactly why I write these...to cut through the horror with clarity and proof the fight isn’t over. When the week feels darkest...that’s when even one crack of light matters most. Glad this one landed for you.

You and Sam Ray (Counter-Narcissis) have got to get together?!! I'll sleep a little better tonight after reading your article, Jack, Thank you, and will reStack ASAP 💯👍

Jack Hopkins's avatar

Love this, Karen. Appreciate you more than you know. 🙏 Sam Ray’s doing sharp work...I’ll definitely keep that connection in mind. The fact you’re sleeping a little easier after reading tells me I’m hitting the mark: not just exposing the rot...but giving my readers ammo and confidence. Thanks for the reStack...every share multiplies the impact.

I love your writing voice. Private eye reporting -a no nonsense noir " let me spell it out for you!" And you do! But with heart too! Lt Colombo with shades!

Maybe you could create a true crime show on TV? " Who Killed America?"

I'm thankful that you are bringing us new information in a lively tone, "get real " message! And coordinate our sinking hopes by sharing strategic analysis of WTF cult MAGA members, the political games of

spineless RepubliCONS, rich tech guys full of self glory, government gossip, political strategies, identifying shifting alliances, and respecting our despair.

Thank you!

There are signs everywhere trump is loosing his followers. No matter how horrible the shooting was in Utah, the shooter got his message out in the texts he sent about the hate Charlie Kirk and trump have spread in our country and people are seeing it and hearing it. trump came acrossed hateful and racist while governor Cox came across wanting to unite the country.

Awesome post Jack Thank you. It put a smile on my face. Things were getting very dark last week. I keep generating my light and i was starting to stress out a bit. I like seeing into a future. It seemed to me today that he knew his goose was cooked. A reporter as him a question and he got very aggressive with him for no reason. My biggest question is how do we diminish Steven Millers power. I guess if all the cards fold he’ll be out

Thank you again Jack. This is a ray of hopeful light in a dark world. I truly hope this house built on hate and retribution for the Orange one falls sooner than later.

I consider this "gorilla psychology." When the aging silverback is going down, the young ones come out in droves to position for succession. I've watched it happen in the business world, and I hope it's happening now in MAGA.

I watched this happen on a very expensive government contract. The succession wars were brutal. The program manager was replaced by someone unmemorable. And then DOD cancelled the entire program anyway and everyone lost.

Judy Robinson's avatar

How I appreciate your message and descriptions tonight, Jack! Thank you. I should think the whole population of the country could see and understand what is anti-American, by now especially, and when they examine it, surely they would see that that means it is against them, because they are Americans who are merely being used, abused by that use, and wanted merely for what they can do for the one person’s glory and benefits.

The broken promises and the lack of power or success, success they expected by hanging on to the coattails, the tie, or the cap, show that it never existed on its own, that it cannot exist, not without them in huge numbers. Further, even if they had been hanging onto some of the foul choices being made, or any part of them whatsoever, surely they are beginning to see that the atrocities go far farther than anything they ever believed or are willing to accept. Most surely, as the effects are appearing in greater magnitude and are bound to touch somebody they know, or even to touch them in some heartless way, that is not what they want to experience, to be associated with, and it is not what they want their children and grandchildren to associate as the character of their family.

Surely the followers who claim deeply motivated and devoted religion will see, if they do not already recognize the fact, that actions and plans are contrary to what they claim to believe. The people who are believers most likely will shake themselves awake to consider which aspects are mistakes, and realization will hit that those actions are not what they are about, and not what they want to face as what has been the work of their lifetimes when they leave this Earth.

Why does it take so much devastation for some people to notice? If, as you have shared Steve Bannon’s concept that the group is stronger than the wills and ills of one particular person, what direction do you see that group, if it remains cohesive, taking? Do you see another leader, as we are sure wannabe individuals are standing in line? Or do you see individual supporters melting off the mountain of followers with realization, like grains of salt in a heavy torrent of rain, as they search for something better, more beneficial to themselves and to mankind, and to America, and to the world?

There is much to wonder. Meanwhile, I remain grateful for your stimulating message tonight and the ongoing, thought provoking power it is having. It takes me beyond the growing point where I was while ago!

WHAT NIJ RESEARCH

TELLS US ABOUT

DOMESTIC TERRORISM

BY STEVEN CHERMAK, MATTHEW DEMICHELE, JEFF GRUENEWALD, MICHAEL JENSEN, RAVEN LEWIS,

AND BASIA E. LOPEZ

NIJ-funded research projects have led to a better understanding of the processes that result in violent

action, factors that increase the risk of radicalizing to violence, and how best to prevent and respond to

violent extremism.

Unfortunately unable to share it, it’s a pdf file and you’ll need to look at Heather’s substack.
