Great questions, Mary. Someone actually asked me the same thing...earlier today on social media...and I fired off a quick...half-baked answer...something like, “Palm Beach would have plenty of folks who’d embrace her.”
But the more I sat with it...the more I realized that wasn’t really an answer at all. It was a reflex.
So later, I did what I should’ve done in the first place...I actually thought it through. Because a situation like this deserves more than a drive-by, “Here ya go… Palm Beach” reply.
Where Maxwell would “land” after a commutation:
If Trump commutes rather than pardons...she’s still a convicted felon...and that matters.
A commutation only ends the punishment. It does not erase:
*the underlying conviction
*the trafficking findings
*the federal record that other nations use to determine admissibility
*So yes...most developed countries would bar her or severely restrict her entry.
Think:
*UK
*EU nations
*Canada
Australia
*New Zealand
I learned that they all have strict entry rules for crimes involving minors...coercion...and sexual exploitation.
The realistic places she could land are jurisdictions that:
*don’t enforce reciprocal bans
*don’t care about human-rights records
or have close ties to Trump...certain oligarchs...or the Gulf region
If she leaves the U.S....the safest bets for her (from her perspective) would be:
*UAE (Dubai/Abu Dhabi)
*Qatar
*Saudi Arabia
*possibly Israel, depending on political winds
*or...a private Caribbean island...owned by one of the billionaires in that orbit.
But...she may not leave at all. If the goal is to keep her controlled...quiet...and accessible... staying inside the U.S....under the protection of Trump-friendly jurisdictions is more likely.
With that...you and I have both learned something...because until I really dug in...I really had no idea of the best answer, either. I just hadn't thought much about it before.

The oligarchs...the Christian nationalists...the propaganda mills...the algorithmic sludge… they’re all part of the same ecosystem designed to grind people down until they stop fighting back.
But here’s the good news most folks miss...
The only people who get worn down are the ones who fight alone.

There is no one with a redeeming quality--he (well the folks behind him) learned that lesson in the first time around.
