They’ve stripped the federal government bare and installed the architecture for autocracy at every level including capturing SCOTUS. I actually don’t disagree with you on the big picture… the GOP has poured years of time, money…and leverage…into building an authoritarian architecture… courts…agencies…election rules…propaganda pipes.

The “pivot” I’m talking about… is exactly the scramble you’re describing: same anti-democratic project… different…less-radioactive figurehead.
