Yes, as these lying pieces of shit vote to starve and kill those who support them, while constantly wrapping themselves in the flag, while continuously crowing about being the party of law and order, the party of the Constitution, the party of fiscal responsibility, the party who backs our military, I cannot help but think of Matthew 7:15, the one about false prophets in sheep's clothing who are really wolves. The reason I think of this is because so many who support these terrible excuses for legislators are avidly religious. I say this because these poor souls who will suffer the most are having their own faith, biases, fears, and yes, hatreds exploited by shamelessly craven liars. I cite this most accurate scripture as someone who is an atheist. You said it best: If you can't afford to stay alive, you're not free.
Those Republican/MAGA boneheads don't know the first thing about our history. And that's sad. This weekend I'll be with family for food, drinks, and shared determination. No fireworks unless a very enthusiastic member wants to make some noise.

Great JHN! I already came out swinging on the 4th. I called the 3 nabobs this morning ! I expressed my disgust and what I wanted done. I knew there would be no answer, just voice. I was thrilled that the reps mailbox was FULL! It couldn’t hold anymore messages, but I continued with my 2 sens and governator. They got their ears pinned. Sadly our AG doesn’t do voice. I rarely can get a message to him. That is on purpose. Yes, it is a great time to rest, enjoy, refuel, and just be, for we have a battle to fight and a war to win. Have a great one!
The Democrats need to get better, much better, at messaging. Here the Republicans are preaching that the Medicaid cuts are about getting young men who play video games at home and are on Medicaid. That is not what is happening. But, we need Democrat leadership to explain in detail exactly how these cuts will effect all of us. Get Pete Buttigieg and others out there, on Fox News, on podcasts, etc. Their next step will be to drastically change the voting laws, they will try to decide who can vote and how they can vote. We can literally see how democracy slipping away. If we let it.

Even though I now live in Italy I am still going to track hospital, clinic & nursing home cutbacks or closures where I use to live & let people know about them. I will do what I can from here.
