ANDY BIGGS: THE QUIET PART OUT LOUD
As a paid subscriber, this is exactly what you’re buying…no-holds-barred deep dives into the bottom-feeders who tried to overturn a free and fair election…who worship an authoritarian-loving felon stomping the Constitution and grinding human rights into dust.
I don’t respect them. I don’t “hear their side.” I don’t give them an inch. I come armed to the teeth with facts…with truth…and with the fire to write about them the way they deserve to be written about.
That’s my promise to you. Every. Single. Time. I. Sit. Down. To. Write.
Here we go…
How Arizona’s Freedom Caucus Kingpin Helped Build the January 6 Playbook
You don’t have to wear a horned helmet to be dangerous to democracy. Sometimes the most effective arsonists show up in navy suits…smile politely…and light matches on letterhead.
That’s Andy Biggs:
A lawyer by training, a Freedom Caucus chair by ambition…and a lifelong specialist in saying the quiet part out loud…then insisting he never said it.
Biggs isn’t a back-bench crank. He’s a former Arizona Senate president and a U.S. congressman from the Phoenix suburbs (AZ-05).
He ran the House Freedom Caucus from 2019–2022…taking the baton from…wait for it…Mark Meadows. That lineage matters. It puts Biggs on the main line of the party faction that tried to replace elections with pressure campaigns and legal fictions. Wikipedia
Let’s set the table:
He amplified 2020 election falsehoods…signed onto Texas v. Pennsylvania to throw out other states’ votes…and kept flogging the mirage long after the courts torched it. Wikipedia
He pushed to decertify Arizona’s electors…on January 6 itself…according to sworn testimony from Arizona’s Republican House Speaker Rusty Bowers. C-SPANAxiosDefault
He was subpoenaed by the January 6 Committee…and later subpoenaed in Arizona’s fake electors probe. (He denies wrongdoing; we’ll get to the details.) WikipediaPolitico
That’s the skeleton. Now let’s add the muscle.
Ready? I thought so!
