Doing the OPPOSITE of what trump expects & wants us to do, is my favorite “mind F’k” to trump! So i agree with Jack, DON’T TAKE TRUMPS BAIT! Throw the trumps rose pedals, while singing… 🎼 What the world needs now is love sweet love, its the only thing thats theres just to little of 🎼

Joanne...exactly right!

The one move he has NO counter for is CALM. He can spin a mob...without question. He can’t spin a crowd that shows up smiling...votes...and goes home.

Keep singing:)

Thanks Jack, In our own countries history Non-Violent protest changed laws and thinking, violent protest and insurrection made history but didn't stop the experiment.

#VoteBlue - in six more days

William...you're welcome.

That's it...in one word: VOTE.

You got this right: The 3.5% rule works...our Vote, our courts and our tremendous peaceful protests will prevail.

Jack Hopkins's avatar

I believe this in my bones, Lillian. And, just as solidly...I believe that if we collapse into violence...it spells the end of democracy

We WILL prevail. We MUST.

Belief may not count a single vote but when I voted this Monday at my local elections board I was thrilled to see how many people were there also. People of color, old people, (that's me too), people with physical challenges. All types of people fulfilling their civic duty to vote for their elected representatives. The clerk at the window told me it was the same last week also. Busy straight through! #HoldFast and chill the champagne!

Jack Hopkins's avatar

Robert...THAT...is the report I wanted!

Not a poll, not a pundit, A LINE OUT THE DOOR...of ordinary people on a Monday. That’s what “building a landslide” looks like up close.

Thank you for voting...and...thank you for telling us what you saw!

Chill it, but don’t pop it yet. :)

I won't. It is patiently waiting for one of several reasons to celebrate. A blue tsunami is one, in sure you can imagine another! :-)

Jack, Violence is never the answer. One should never stoop to the offender as they will never beat them. It's like the kid throwing the temper tantrum, they end up being sent to their room.

Next week will be here soon enough and then we will see how the chips fall. What's the old saying "don't count your chickens before they are hatched".

#HOLDFAST

Teri

Jack Hopkins's avatar

Teri Gelini...the tantrum comparison is superb!

And, Teri...fair point on the chickens. I’ll keep saying we win because I believe it, AND... you’re right that belief doesn’t count a SINGLE ballot. Showing UP does.

#HOLDFAST right back.

I think trump will melt just as the wicked witch did in the Wizard of Oz when fresh, clean water is tossed on her. Honest, pure, clean, anything will kill the trumps!

Those who are not aware of just how stochastic the bastard is, need to read this.

Thanks Jack

Mo...YES!

And, Mo....you're welcome.

Possibly your most important reminder. People. Must. Not. Get. Violent. Thats what cheetolini wants!

Elizabeth...thank you. I believe you might just be right about that!

Jack, thank you so much for this valuable message of water on the fire on heated emotion, or on attempted triggers of anger, and instead helping create peace on Earth.

It reminds me of a song, although I can only think of the first words. They are, “Peace on the water, on the land dnd the sea.” Actually, I think a square dance call was interjected into that song which is why I cannot recall more.

“Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me,” is the first line of a song I have treasured for years. Your reminder calls it to mind. Peaceful ways are best, and they are an example of “You get what you give.” or “What you do comes back to you.”

This morning I saw the following information which encourages peace, acceptance, and a leg up, as I see it, and it will help more than any blame. If anybody has a need for it, before, during, or after the election, I think it is important and could help. Along with your calming and helpful message, Jack, I find this also is calming. We are here to help each other and to help people understand if needed. Putting “down the pitchfork”, or calming the bristles is like remembering that flies are more attracted to honey than to vinegar, and that we respond to gentle ways better that to harsh ones. Peace is the only way, and just thinking of it feels good!

Here is a peaceful bit of encouragement that might help any questioning MAGA voters think more deeply and realize the truth before the election, but any discussion must come from them. It must not be initiated by any of us. I have pasted this information, minus the photographs, from the “Helpful Site”. It is written by Mr. Rich Logis.

Title:

“Give MAGA voters a ladder back to democracy. Voting is this week

Article:

Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed just said what we've said since day one: don't indict people for their past. Invite them to a better future. This is how we save our democracy. Leaving MAGA is on the frontlines.

I'm Rich Logis. I spent years inside MAGA, and I know why people stay. They aren't stuck because they love the chaos. They're stuck because the climb down feels impossible.

This week, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed told a crowd that MAGA voters are "out on a limb" and that "you've gotta give them a ladder." That's exactly what we do here at Leaving MAGA.

Those voters are paying $5 for gas too. They're struggling to afford groceries. Many already know they were wrong. What they don't have is a soft place to land.

Our billboards are that ladder.

They've gone up in dozens of states and cities, including Des Moines, Nashville, Austin, The Villages, Miami, and twice near Mar-a-Lago. More than half a million people have visited our site this year because of them. What greets them there isn't judgment. It's excitement, relief, and people who've been exactly where they are.

Early voting is underway, and Election Day is this week. Every billboard, event, and support group your gift funds reaches someone on the fence before they cast a ballot.

We are taking back the people MAGA stole. One at a time.”

I am not sharing this article because of the mention of gifts. I am sharing because of the ways I think it might help.

The billboard says:

“HAVING DOUBTS?” It also suggests the site, leavingmaga.org.

I have not seen any of these billboards in my area, but they might give people reasons to think or calm some nagging concerns.

Calming advice for those of us who voted early. It’s like I’m waiting for Santa Claus and this year he might give me a lump of coal.

Thank you Jack…believe you published this just in time, we don’t know yet. May this advice reach everyone who needed to think it through. Respectfully

It sounds like you are including No Kings and even civil rights marches as mobs. Trump would be very happy to see everyone just stay home on their keyboards, nobody sees that. I don't write pitchfork comments, i don't interact with them. I do believe in peaceful protest. The world needs to see how many people are against them.

Mobs of people in clown costumes!!

Mobs of people singing!!

Mobs of people dancing by themselves and with each other!!

Mobs of jugglers!

Mobs of stilt walkers!

Mobs of people singing the Preamble à la Schoolhouse Rock!!

I know you are right about not giving Trump an excuse. This is what happens when you are a nation where the letter of the law is viewed by the system it supports as more important than the justice it's supposed to provide.
