Are there any Inspector Generals left that we know about? This regime is known for removing oversight personnel. What isn’t seen, isn’t known in the regime’s mind ( much like Mike Johnson and the GOP response mechanism to media inquiries.)

Check to see if you can pick up your mail ballot at the supervisor of elections in your county and when if you are able. ask what they need for ID, Then ask where you can physically drop it off. In my county in Florida you can get it Sept 21 and then they give you a paper that tells you where and when you can drop off early. You can track your ballot on the internet through the Supervisor of Elections web site. All drop offs in Pinellas county are indoors and supervised. ID for Pinellas county is your drivers license

DOJ’s position that these were three separate, lawful requests is a real argument worth taking seriously. But it doesn’t answer the stronger question, which Jack raises without quite naming it: whether the stated reason for the request was the real one.
That’s what matters here. Voter rolls have no connection to jail cooperation or detainer compliance — nothing about them relates to what was happening on the ground in Minneapolis. That disconnect is the core problem. It’s the same disconnect Oregon’s plaintiffs are pointing to, and it’s what led Judge Menendez to describe the letter as suggesting a quid pro quo, based on the letter itself, not on anyone’s characterization of it.
The pattern outside this one letter also matters. Four federal courts — California, Oregon, Michigan, and Georgia — have already turned down DOJ’s voter-data requests this year. A California judge found the request violated privacy law. Seventeen states handed over their data without a fight, but that says more about which states chose to push back than it does about whether the requests were proper.
One thing worth adding: the inspector general complaint filed in February still hasn’t gotten a public response, and that alone is worth following. But the bigger story right now is the open court cases, not the IG complaint. However those rulings land in Minnesota and Oregon will settle the legal question faster than any internal review — and that’s the part of this story getting the least attention.

On the 17 states...yes...compliance measures WHO chose to fight...not whether the ask was proper.
