Kash Patel on the Chopping Block-But His Replacements Will Chill You
Don’t mistake Patel’s weakness for a win. His replacements are wolves.
The Jack Hopkins Now Newsletter #562: Saturday, September 20th, 2025.
Let’s start with the obvious. Kash Patel has been wobbling on thin ice since the day Trump threw him the keys to the FBI.
He was never qualified.
He wasn’t put there to protect Americans…enforce the law…or clean up crime. He was put there for one reason: loyalty….Blind…slobbering…take-a-bullet loyalty to Donald J. Trump.
But here’s the problem with loyalty picks:
When the spotlight turns hot…when scandal piles on…when even your own side starts whispering doubts…you’re expendable.
And right now…Patel is looking more expendable by the day.
The Heat Is On
This week alone…Patel’s name has been dragged across every major headline:
Epstein victims blasting his testimony as a sham.
Senators grilling him over mishandling the Charlie Kirk assassination case.
House committees accusing him of politicizing the FBI beyond recognition.
Leaks of internal dissent…with even some conservatives muttering he’s in over his head.
Trump still backs him…publicly. But how long will that last?
We’ve seen this movie before. Trump’s loyalty is transactional. He loves you right up until you become more of a liability than an asset. Then he tosses you out like a used tissue and installs the next loyalist in line.
That’s why Kash Patel’s FBI career may have a short shelf life.
But here’s the real kicker: don’t cheer too loudly if Patel goes down. Because his replacements? They could be even worse.
Enter the Bench: Trump’s FBI Succession Plan
Patel isn’t the endgame. He’s the trial balloon.
And if he pops…Trump already has a bench of replacements lined up…each one loyal… each one dangerous…and some even more destructive than Patel.
Let’s break it down.
