Jack, thanks for the pep talk. I like the idea of adding some action item, no matter how small, to one's schedule. If nothing else, but to remind one that something can and will be done. Stay mad people.
Even the smallest action...taken with intention...becomes a spark. It reminds us that we’re not powerless...and that despair is a lie whispered by those who benefit from our silence. Whether it’s making a call...sharing the truth...or just staying alert while others check out—it all counts.
And yes: stay mad. Not hopeless. Not numb. But mad...with purpose.
This is a sobering and helpful piece! I also realized that the chaos that is inflicted on us is a reflection of the actual chaos that these mendacious bastards live out every day, because their dear leader's brain is so scrambled up with his desperate grasping, that no one can have a clue what to do next. So they bring sledgehammers to everything. Organized, discerning, focused action--executive function is not one of the leader's strong suits--is the antidote to the bullshit. They are disturbed, immoral people who need the high of destruction and harm. But they cannot sustain that for too long before it just eats them alive. See for example, their rotting, deteriorating, psycho-in-chief with the venous condition. Oh, somebody call FEMA~ (and I do not at all make fun of anyone with this type of condition, it's serious! but this president deserves no compassion at this point).
You’ve tapped into something profound here, Philip. The chaos we’re experiencing isn’t just collateral damage. It’s a mirror of the inner breakdown happening at the top. When a movement or regime is built on grievance...projection...and raw impulse...the only governing principle becomes destruction. And as you brilliantly put it...they bring sledgehammers to everything because they have no blueprint...only rage.
You’re absolutely right: the antidote is clarity...focus...and executive function—qualities they can’t fake...borrow...or buy. They’re running on fumes and dopamine hits from the damage they cause. But they’re burning out. And when they do...we need to be the ones still standing—with plans...discipline...and moral spine intact.
Appreciate your fire and your voice more than you know.
thank YOU Jack. these people appear to be very damaged. if only our culture had built-in incentives for those with less damage, and more moral spine, to reach the top!
I am not my worst day.
I am not my worst day.
I am not my worst day.
I am not my worst day.

You nailed it, Greg-that’s exactly the spirit.

Grateful to have you in this fight.
