How to Fight for Democracy & Never Lose Hope
Three Concepts that You'll Find Useful for the Rest of Your Life
In any fight we find ourselves in, we always find ourselves...in the fight. If you are in the fight for this country, and for democracy (and if you’re reading this newsletter, it’s a safe bet that you are) then you are in the fight.
You can’t separate yourself from the fight. In that sense, you are the fight. I am the fight. And everyone else in the fight, is the fight.
Given that we, as individuals, are really what makes up the fight from the left it would only seem logical, then, that we take a careful look at the things we can do to take care of ourselves-as individuals-so that we might make the greatest contribution to the group that we can make.
In this newsletter I’m going to discuss three key concepts for being able to consistently maintain a brawny sense of hope, particularly when it comes to saving our democracy and ensuring continuation of the freedoms we have long enjoyed.
Without hope, we have nothing. Only with hope do we have any reason to create plans for growth, plot useful changes, or simply becoming a better person. Hope is the great elixir of life.
I’ve often said that people would be better off if they set the search for the fountain of youth aside and focused on things that supply a steady stream of “water” to the fountain of hope.
So, lets go ahead and examine the first of the three concepts for making sure that we never lose hope, and that we have a bountiful supply of resilience as we make our way through the journey of life.
