It takes bravery to share facts in the open and put your name on them. The key for Ossify is to wait and hear a reply and if none, press for one. If that fails then ask the voters why they are afraid to respond. My opinion.
Jon Ossoff hits the nail on the head with "coin operated" The Prince Jared story is what he focused on but here in Michigan it can be applied to the Gordie Howe Bridge fiasco. Matty Maroun buying favors to not lose his toll revenues.

It's protected...PRECISELY because of the marine life and the seabirds...some of them endangered...that depend on it.
That's what makes the whole thing sting: it's not only about who profits, it's about what gets BULLDOZED... so they CAN.
