That also explains why so many firefighters come from the Navy. There's a certain level of excitement involved in all that danger along with an enormous sense of camaraderie with others who thrive on Teamwork. My husband was the Fire Control Technician (Push Button) on the USS Enterprise. I spent a week at the Shipboard Firefighting School in Alameda. Got to be first on the hoseline for the boiler room fire exercise. That was WOW!!
