Malignant narcissists are ALWAYS all about optics- as a way to proliferate their make-believe image!

You’re right, Melba: malignant narcissists don’t govern...they stage-manage. Optics are the oxygen that keeps the make-believe image alive. The photo op is the policy. The stunt is the strategy. The costume always comes before the competence.

Here’s the tell:

They protect the mirror, not the mission. Every move is “How do I look?” not “Did it work?”

They chase supply...not solutions. Attention is the fuel; outcomes are an afterthought.

They perform strength, then outsource the cost to everyone else.

The antidote? Starve the spectacle...spike the scoreboard. Force the conversation back to measurable results (lives saved, jobs created...criminals prosecuted..rights protected).

When the metrics don’t move, the mask slips.

Bottom line: expose the trick by tracking outcomes...not outfits. When the numbers are louder than the noise...the “image” collapses under its own cheap scaffolding.

I wish I would’ve understood malignant narcissism when I was twenty, grrrrr!

My MIL was exactly like Trump and the cult leader of her own family, they followed exactly like MAGA do- IF she could’ve had political or board room power it would’ve been disastrous.

Thanks Jack- as always I appreciate learning from you:)💙

Excellent analysis Jack,

This is signature Trump: All Pomp and no Circumstance! And to think of it, Putin confirmed that he never would have invaded Ukraine if Trump was president. The way I see it, why would Putin need to invade when you have the president of the US in your pocket?

Bottom line, Trump is a disgrace, I wouldn’t be surprised if he handed over TS and SAP programs in regard to this war at this meeting; make that the “Beast!”

That said, welcome to HELL-sinki: 2:0. Trump, once again betrayed our Ukrainian and European Allies. It’s time for them to cut the umbilical cord: end NATO, and stop buying US weapons. Europe has close to $50 billion in arms deals to US companies pending, that’s a lot of leverage, and the only ones who have the clout in Washington with Congress is the Military Industrial Complex (MIC). Time to put up or shut up because this is hundreds of billions to a trillion in future revenue down the drain. Therefore, they have as much to lose as almost everyone, possibly more.

Furthermore, unless the MIC reins him in, Europe is on their own and Trump will just sabotage Ukraine’s chances every opportunity he gets.

Lastly, it appears Europe will be making security agreements with other nations and slowly decoupling from the US; from both security agreements, and economically. And once that happens we’re finished: our superpower status and dominance will be over! IMHO!…:)

You’re dead right...Robert. Trump’s “pomp without circumstance” is more than just empty optics...it’s strategic sabotage dressed up as show business. And Putin doesn’t need to roll tanks when he already has a U.S. president in his pocket...eager to trade away allies and secrets for applause.

Helsinki 2.0 is exactly that: another betrayal...another stain...another moment where Europe sees...clear as day...that the so-called leader of the free world is the weak link.

And you’re right about the money: the leverage sits with the Military Industrial Complex. If they don’t rein him in...Europe will...by decoupling, building their own security guarantees, and cutting the cord.

And when that happens? The “superpower” façade collapses. Because power is trust. Lose it...and you’ve got nothing but bluster.

Bottom line: Europe’s patience is finite. Trump’s betrayal is infinite. So either the U.S. defense machine wakes up and checks him, or Europe walks...and takes America’s global status with it.

Damn! You're GOOD! I'm so glad I'm a subscriber. You don't mince words you sound the clarion call and it's high time someone is doing it as forcefully, yet peacefully and lawfully as you do everytime I read your messages.

Thank you!

That means a hell of a lot, Karen...thank you. 🙏 I made a decision a long time ago: no mincing...no hedging...no sugarcoating. We’ve had decades of that...and look where it got us.

My clarion call is this: fight like hell...but fight clean. Lawful. Peaceful. Forceful. Unrelenting. Because that’s how we strip their excuses away and show the difference between democracy’s defenders and democracy’s destroyers. (It's important to point this out, however: protecting yourself from bodily harm or death is LEGAL...and the right of every US citizen.)

And as long as I’ve got breath...you’ll keep getting it straight...raw...and unwatered down in these pages. Because you deserve nothing less.

Putin just grabbed Trump By the pussy cause he’s rich and stupid . A baby man cunt in a suit shitting his diaper . Adderall fiend.Snorting lines like a junkie lost in the jungle of politics . Thinking he’s strong like bull but just a drunken fool sitting at a bar and being told your had enough go home

Expand full comment
Jack Hopkins's avatar

That’s the raw...unfiltered truth right there, Jeff. Strip away the bluster...the fake “strongman” act...and what’s left? A weak...strung-out conman who got played like a cheap piano by Putin.

Every time he pretends to be the alpha...the mask slips and we see the diaper-filler underneath...an attention-junkie who mistakes chaos for strength.

And you’re right: to the rest of the world...he doesn’t look like a bull. He looks like the drunk staggering in the bar who thinks he’s tough until someone taps his shoulder and says, “Enough. Go home.”

That’s not leadership. That’s humiliation masquerading as power. And it’s exactly why the façade is cracking in real time.

I will continue reading, Jack, but my immediate appreciation is your to the point and especially meaningful use of alliteration! Your truths shared are valuable, and your skillful presentation shows that you have much to offer in reaching readers and would-be listeners. How I hope you can and shall reach much more of the population! Thank you.

Jack Hopkins's avatar

Thank you...that means more than you know. Alliteration isn’t just style...it’s a weapon. The rhythm grabs the ear...the punch drives the point..and the memory lingers long after the scroll.

Truth delivered straight is powerful. Truth delivered sharp...rhythmic...and relentless?

That’s how it cuts through the noise...sticks in the mind...and spreads.

And you’re right: the goal is reach. Not just to inform...but to ignite. To give people words that fire their blood and make them feel less alone in this fight. Together...we amplify. Together, we grow louder. And together...we’ll make damn sure more of the population hears the call.

During the rare moments when I'm not writing, posting, or doing something related to that...I'm always thinking about how I could have structured, framed, or written something so that it had even more impact. I love to learn...and grow. I'm not a perfectionist...but...I don't want to be putting out material that is just "okay," either.

Thanks again. Truly.

Don’t apologize for that fire...own it...Cherae. (I love the spelling of your name, by the way.)

Because that’s exactly what this moment demands. We’ve all been there: calm on the outside...volcanic on the inside. And let me tell you...your rage is righteous.

That mental image of slamming doors and shattering windows? That’s the sound of a citizen who refuses to be lulled into apathy. The trick is turning that internal riot into external impact.

Calls. Letters. Pressure. Action. That’s how we throw chairs through the windows of corruption without breaking the law...or ourselves.

So don’t be mortified. Be motivated. Because the fury inside you isn’t weakness...it’s fuel; CHERAE FUEL. And we need every drop of it!

Several decades of my mother’s conditioning (for my own good, of course, and since I “got that from” my father) has made it difficult to find a way to channel it. But I’m learning. And you’re helping.

About my name, more from Daddy. P. S. Use your child’s first name.

Using one’s middle name in day-to-day interactions, at school, etc. is a royal pain in the ass. And that fuel you mention?

Exactly, Jeff. “No deal until there’s a deal” is playground babble dressed in a suit. It’s the language of a toddler guarding a toy...not a leader guiding a nation. And you nailed it: it just proves what we’ve always known...this isn’t strategy...it’s stalling. It’s a diaper-filler pretending to be a deal-maker.

That’s the scam: wrap childish tantrums in a red tie...and sell it as strength. But the mask is slipping...and every time he spews that nonsense...more people see him for what he is: useless...reckless...and unfit for the chair he squats in.

Never apologize for refusing to sugarcoat treason. If they squirm...good. If they sneer.. even better. Because every time one of us stands up and spits the truth out loud...it makes it harder for them to hide behind lies.

Keep that fire. The other side counts on us muting ourselves. Instead...crank the volume!

Thank you, Marilynn...you nailed it. What we’re watching isn’t leadership, it’s liability. A man so compromised he can’t even pretend to project strength. A man so weakened he’s left the world stage wide open for predators. And you’re right...that doesn’t just stall progress...it sabotages safety.

The Oval Office isn’t supposed to be a seat for puppets. It’s supposed to be a command post for courage. Instead...we’ve got a hollow man...dangling by strings..incapable of protecting the very people he swore to defend.

And every day the world sees it...our enemies get bolder. That’s why voices like yours... mine...and every subscriber here matter...because calling it out is step one in making sure this never becomes the “new normal.”

This was to be expected. On the one hand, you have a guy who is a pretty smart strategist. The other guy has a 4th grade education, if that. What does one think is going to happen. Back in Trump's first term, he worshipped Putin. Maybe cause there was no ficking way he could look like his hero with his shirt off. I think Trump knew in is little brain that he could never be that man. So now he's a "tough guy.

Expand full comment

Right on, Greg. One man plays chess...the other can barely color inside the lines of a 4th-grade workbook. And you’re dead right...Trump’s always worshipped Putin because deep down he knows he’ll never measure up. Not the brain...not the backbone...hell...not even the body.

That’s why the “tough guy” act is so pathetic. It’s cosplay to cover the truth: he’s not feared...he’s pitied. A wannabe strongman in a cheap suit...forever trying to match a hero he’ll never be.

It’s what wasn’t said that’s speaking the loudest. It’s the core principle used on 47 that makes him easily manipulated by Putin and the creators of Project 2025. Give him lots of “sugar” and get what one needs and wants while 47 plunges into a narcissistic sugar coma of bloated importance and success. He’s been doing this gig for decades. The world’s thugs have mastered the game with time and authoritarian power that looks shiny and mandatory to 47 but has given the world wars, famine, genocide, mass murder and the Epstein files packed with crimes against humanity. Alaska was as atrocious as bibi being greeted in Congress with standing ovations and an open checkbook of our tax dollars. It’s time to flip the table on this dystopian future and fight vs sit on our asses with “hope as a strategy”. It’s gonna get ugly folks. Very ugly.

Expand full comment
Jack Hopkins's avatar

Nailed it, Kathy. What isn’t said screams the loudest...and with 47...it’s always the same play: feed the ego...reap the spoils. Putin...the Project 2025 architects...the global thugs...they all know the sugar trick. Stroke him...stuff him full of fake “greatness,” and he’ll hand over the keys.

And you’re right...this isn’t just about Alaska or Bibi’s standing ovations. It’s about a system of predators who’ve weaponized narcissism to unleash war...famine...genocide... and yes...the buried crimes in those Epstein files.

We don’t beat that with “hope.” We beat it by flipping the damn table...refusing to sit down...and making it impossible for them to write the dystopian script they’re drooling over. Ugly is coming. Better to face it standing...pissed the f*ck off...than lying down waiting for the wreckage.

Spot on my dear. It’s oozing out of them with an ugliness they confuse with righteousness. I was riding my bike this morning grinding up a hill and thought ‘do they want to remove one’s ability to love and be loved? To simply shut we humans down to walking organic matter?’ Defiance is love…. Love of self, my brothers and sisters, my country’s flaws and the democratic experiment and the rights of humanity”. I’d rather die defending that vs their small minded view of power and what— money? Really? I guess that’s all that has value to a dark shriveled heart and standing with you and other like minded people reminds me to stay the course and breathe.
