Ex-CIA Insider Breaks Silence: What He Revealed About America’s Fragile Future Will Leave You Stunned (And Furious)
The Jack Hopkins Now Newsletter: New Episode of The Jack Hopkins Show Podcast
Something happened Thursday afternoon, May 29th, 2025. I sat down for what I thought would be a powerful conversation:
And ended up recording one of the most chilling episodes of The Jack Hopkins Show podcast to date.
My guest? A man who has operated deep inside America’s national security machinery—a prosecutor, CIA operations officer, Department of Homeland Security advisor, and senior congressional staffer.
He’s helped write the laws that reshaped the country after 9/11. He’s seen the threats from the inside—and what he shared with me will stay with you long after the episode ends.
If you want a raw, unfiltered look at the fragility—and resilience—of American democracy… this is the one.
You will notice more edits in this episode than usual, and at one point, he switches from being on the left side of the screen and me on the right to the reverse.
Storms were in the area while we were recording, and his laptop stopped, so he had to switch to his iPad. These combined issues required a bit of work to create the end product.
However, what was said in this recording was too raw and honest to attempt to re-record, and nothing important was lost in the editing.
Meet Steven Cash:
Steven Cash is a Former Prosecutor, CIA Operations officer, Department of Homeland Security Advisor, and Sr. Congressional Staffer.
Warmly,
Jack

Well worth a listen. It’s heartening to know this group is out there.
Excellent interview, Jack. I am grateful to have listened to it in its entirety.
One thing that Mr. Cash touched on about crypto currency that has me scratching my head and it was what trump said that I am not sure I am understanding fully and that is he's doing it in his "off time". Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the president's job 24/7/365? Clinton, Obama and Biden took working vacations.
