Easier Weight Loss, Fitness & Career Advancement
When you just think the way you think, you pretty much get the results you've alway had before. When you think about HOW you think, and tweak it a bit, seemingly magical results start to unfold.
**Hello my friend. Before we dive into the Jack Hopkins Now Newsletter, I just wanted to say this: Please think about upgrading to a paid subscription. I mean that. I’ll tell you why. I think my Jack Hopkins Now Newsletter is quickly going to become one of the better-if not the best-newsletter- on Substack, when it comes newsletters that have to do with taking control of your mental, physical, and emotional life. In short, the paid subscription gives you access to some very kick-ass, life changing stuff. Yeah, I know. That’s a bold statement. However, it’s one I wouldn’t make if I didn’t think I could deliver. I can. Benefits to paid subscribers include:
· Access to all of my archived material
· The ability to comment and join the community of like-minded people
· My “Jack Hopkins Video Shorts”
· Every article, post, newsletter, not or video short that I post
· My enduring gratitude and appreciation, and commitment, that I gave to the United States Navy
Thank you. Truly.
Now…. here we go with another powerful tool for more easily accomplishing your goals!
We all like to think we can just make a decision, and that’s, that. It’s as good as done. Whether it be a decision to stop eating ice cream every night after dinner, or to finally get the garage cleaned out and organized, many people-even with a track record of many failed “This Saturday I will_____!” declarations, still have blind faith that once they say, “I will__!” that it’s as good as finished.
To be clear, there are people who are cut from the “when I say it, I do it!” cloth. This isn’t about them, though. This is for those who have struggled to get things done, year after year, after year, and who have grown increasingly frustrated by their seeming inability to just get things done.
Over the years, it never failed to excite me when people who had come to believe that they were examples of “flawed DNA” would suddenly find themselves able to do things they had long ago become convinced they would never be able to do or achieve, after making one simple shift in their approach.
I’m going to share one such shift that you can begin using today.
Think of something that you’ve been putting off. Something that really needs to get done.
Once you have something in mind, while thinking of it, say to yourself “I will do it!” and just noticed what happens. How does your body respond? How does your mind respond?
When I have people do this with something they’ve been putting off, they usually tell me things like “My stomach gets tight, and my muscles tense up a bit” or “My mind immediately fired back with ‘Bullshit! Who are you trying to kid?”
In other words, they encounter immediate resistance from themselves. That’s a losing situation. One that can find you walking around, pissed off, and biting the head off of anyone who dare speaking to you the rest of the day…and…still not be any closer to accomplishing what you need to.
Now, if, as a subscriber of The Jack Hopkins Now Newsletter you’ve found yourself thinking “How can this be? The stuff he is sharing with us is so simple! Why doesn’t everyone know about this?!” realize that you’re not alone.
Here’s the thing, the problems/challenges that most people face seem overwhelming and incredibly complex, to them. As a result, most people are on a futile search for an effective solution that is incredibly complex.
Their mind tells them “Complex problems have complex solutions.” When it comes to human beings, most often, nothing could be further from the truth. It’s quite the opposite, actually.
Now, let’s dive into today’s VERY simple shift.
We’ve already discussed what happens for most people with the “I will!” approach. It backfires in a disastrous way for a large percentage of the population.
So, let’s look at this seriously effective alternative:
