I don’t usually do this. I don’t plug things. But I’d regret not saying this one out loud.

I read Jack Hopkins because he doesn’t do the thing most political writers do — hedge until the point disappears into mush. He tells you what happened, then hands you the receipt: the exact dollar figure, the court filing, the disclosure form. The DOJ’s $892,192 banner. The DNC mortgaging its own headquarters while sitting on $18 million in debt. A federal judge who stopped taking DOJ’s word for it on the Epstein files. That’s not commentary dressed up as news. That’s the actual work, already done for you.

I pay for it because that kind of work doesn’t happen for free, and because in a media environment full of people guessing out loud with confidence, I’d rather read someone who checked first, every time, no exceptions.

If Jack ever sees this: thank you. Genuinely. This is the read that matters most to me, and it’s not close. #HoldFast

You’ll learn a lot, and once in a while Jack will write something that jerks you back from the edge of despair just at the moment when you are losing hope; or when you are totally baffled with the political power plays. He explains what’s happening and what you can do to remain sane and to influence outcomes.
