We knew that "Judge" Cannon was central to the coverup, most recently in blocking release of Smith's report. I have been waiting for the leaks to start. Smith is too ethical, probably, to leak the report, but we can hope that the trickle becomes a stream if not a flood.
While I can see and somewhat agree with points 1, 2, and 5, I don't think I have harbored any of these thoughts myself (well, maybe point 10). More is coming, I feel (fairly) sure.
Cannon’s role in constraining what the public gets to see...has been one of the MOST consequential...and under-discussed...parts of this entire story.
Blocking that report didn’t erase anything; it just forced the information into a slower...more fragmented path… which is exactly what you’re describing.
Your instinct about the “trickle becoming a stream” is grounded.
When material like this exists across agencies...drafts...memos...and multiple hands...it rarely stays contained forever...it just changes how it comes out.
Also worth noting...what you said about not really falling into those thought patterns? That’s a BIG deal. The fact that you can see them...evaluate them... and not default to them...is exactly what keeps you ORIENTED... while a lot of people check out.
Yeah… that sense that more is coming?
You’re not reaching for that. You’re recognizing the pattern!
Heard an AI podcast supposedly by Rachel Maddow in which she tells us Judge Cannon has been removed and all of her decisions were being reversed. It was well done, enough so to send me to prove it was a fantasy. A good one, I was hardly disappointed to realize it was fake, it took about two seconds- but just imagining that could happen- well, *should* happen was actually something almost exciting.
As is everything with Cheetolini, it's all about the money, all about the grift; if he lives until the November midterms, and even if he doesn't, all of this corruption will come to light...
The through-line with him has...always been money and leverage...everything else tends to orbit around that.
What you’re picking up on here...is something a lot of people miss: even when things feel buried in the moment...they have a way of resurfacing LATER...often in pieces...often when people least expect it.
That PATTERN...delay...suppression...then gradual exposure..is real.
The more people who recognize it EARLY, like YOU are...the harder it becomes to fully bury any of it!
Does that mean that someday the redacted portions of the Mueller report might surface, one page at time?? Those b.s. clips of Barr & trumpy that were just rebroadcast upon news of Mueller's death made me livid -- claiming the report exonerated the bastard. If it does, why don't they release the whole damn thing!!! [sorry about the rant, but that coverup still matters]
BLK...It absolutely still matters...and...you’re not ranting; you’re remembering something a lot of people were trained to blur out!
That Barr line did ENORMOUS damage...because it gave millions of people a fake summary they could hold onto...instead of the actual substance.
You’re right: if the report truly “exonerated” him...there would’ve been no need for all the spin...the selective framing...and...the years of mythmaking around it.
As for the redacted portions...surfacing someday...piece by piece? I think that’s a VERY reasonable thing to suspect. Once material exists...especially in a case this historically significant... it has a way of reappearing over time...through documents...testimony...disclosures...and fragments that OUTLIVE the original coverup.
And...your last line is the heart of it:
That cover-up still matters.
It mattered then...and...it matters now, because it helped teach the country to confuse “managed narrative” with truth.
You know, all it would take is for Jack Smith to say "to hell with Bondi, I am telling all". It is, after all, what he was hired to do. What the taxpayers paid for. What is just, what is right, what is needed. I get that there would be consequences for him and his family, but staying silent means there are consequences for all of us and for our allies as well. I am tired of waiting for people to step up and speak out about what they know. #HoldingFast but pissed off.
Just got off the phone with a friend, we are both of "a certain age", and feel as if we don't have enough time left to wait for something to happen. It will take longer than we have for all this to unravel and be FIXED if people keep quiet now. Silence becomes complicity after a point. Thanks for always being here for us.
They all hit and relate to my life currently. It often feels like money buys exoneration and allows corruption. Institutions don’t want to pay out what’s owed (like insurance carriers) so they keep deflecting and delaying hoping for us to get exhausted and surrender. Never. I wasn’t raised like that and will never be bullied again. I tell my students to stay strong and that there is power in numbers when presented with decorum, something this administration clearly lacks.
That delay-deflect-exhaust pattern...is a real deal... and you named it perfectly. It shows up in politics...institutions...insurance disputes...everywhere POWER bets that people will get tired...and give up.
This is the key:
You...DON'T.
That refusal to be bullied...worn down...or...pushed into surrender matters. The fact that you’re teaching your students...that there’s power in numbers, discipline, and decorum? That’s HUGE.
That’s how people hold the line...without...becoming what they’re fighting! Well done.
I’m reminded of Watergate. It’s different in that the Watergate investigation was as led by reporters, but leaks were central to the case being made.
I was in high school during this time and in any class that had even a remote connection to civics or history, the teacher would move a TV into the classroom and tell us that there is nothing they can teach us that is more important than what we are about to watch. As a result, I had the opportunity to watch more of the Watergate hearings than would ever have been possible without these teachers.
First it’s a drip, drip, drip. Then it’s a flood. Perhaps we should include a rain dance as part of the No Kings protest on Saturday.
This subject is surfacing in pieces. I saw the news about the map, but didn't see where it came from nor that it is related to the classified documents case.
Thank you for pulling the pieces back together. Now I know what to look for!!!
I studied cannon and details of documents case. One conclusion I came to indicated the main reason The Orange Dummy stole the documents was for business interests here and abroad. You name it, it has a price with this epitome of transactional “everything is mine to sell” beast, LITERALLY. Seriously, even melania if she wasn’t nailed down. I’m happy to see evidence leak.
This, the Epstein files, and more, make me think of some of the missed opportunities that got us to this point. First is SCOTUS - RBG was a tremendous legal mind, and if she had retired at a point when her successor's confirmation was a given rather than continuing on until she passed, a 5-4 mix would have saved Roe. And maybe, just maybe, Roberts' vote may have changed on Presidential immunity if he didn't see his vote as "just another" vote, but one that would have his fingerprints all over the decision.
The other dynamic is that, for decades, the GOP handled state and local offices as stepping stones to federal power, rather than "down ballot" coattails.
Truth stops arriving all at once but now arrives in pieces.. there was many people working on jack smiths team .. they know whats in there and it will come out because I’m sure some of them have had enough of cannon’s bullshit ..
All 10 hit me and I believe we will see something as these leaks will make the people want justice. When the repugs are voted out we may finally see some justice served. Since he has not been tried or convicted he is open season for the crimes he has committed and I believe treason should be #1…

James, Oh what a beautiful thought 🌟 I’m now going to pour a glass of wine 🍷 sit with that beautiful thought 🤩 and have the night off! Thank YOU!💙✌🏽🦋

Roberta...I feel that frustration as well, and I think a lot of people do.
You're getting at the MORAL PRESSURE underneath all of this: there comes a point...where silence starts to feel like its own kind of decision.
For people who’ve been watching this for years...the waiting is exhausting...not just politically...but emotionally.
That’s why your last line lands so hard:
Holding fast...but pissed off.
That’s exactly the mood. Still standing. Still clear-eyed. But...done pretending this level of suppression and delay is normal...or acceptable.
YES, Roberta...KEEP demanding that people with knowledge...records...and credibility understand the stakes...of staying QUIET.

I am noticing the similarities to the Epstein files
My thoughts, too.
And rightly so, CC.

For sure, Audrey. Good call!

Got it! Thanks, Leslie.

I know Aileen Cannon blocked the release of the files, but can't the 11th circuit overrule her?
I don't think there's anyone left with standing to appeal her order. Smith is gone, and anyone else who would has long since been fired.

Regardless, solid analysis, Jack.
Feels like we’re living the movie Groundhog Day. Varying details, same pattern. #HoldFast

Number 4 - Parts of the system are working but incompletely which leaves openings for pressure to become more complete.
